This Isn’t Your Babushka’s Communist Party: Lenin, Marx, and Stalin Get Millennial Makeovers

A youthful Vladimir Lenin, the Russian revolutionary, wears a large wristwatch and grasps a laptop as he stands next to a young woman holding a mobile phone. Next to the pair is Karl Marx, the 19th-century socialist philosopher, wearing a leather jacket. In another image, a mustachioed Josef Stalin, the former strongman of the Soviet Union, vapes an e-cigarette as a plume of smoke escapes his lips.

LOL!! You can bet your sweet bibby this is’t your babushka’s communist party. My bubbe never wore one after she left the shtetl.

But I do see a lot of “babushkas” on the heads of young muslimas, usually emblazoned with a designer logo.

I just love it when hip young writers use foreign terms they haven’t a clue what they mean.

We really need to start funding student exchange programs. Send these Western bolsheviks to get a taste of life under actual communism. Encourage them to explain to their hosts why socialism is so awesome.
