Canada’s carbon tax Trojan Horses in the conservative movement

Looks as if, in the wake of the devastating federal election loss last October that brought Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party to majority power, Canadian conservatives are realizing their Conservative Party under Stephen Harper was not even close to conservative. Indeed, the most vicious and determined opponents of true conservatives in the Great White North over the past decade came not from members of the left-wing Liberal and New Democratic parties, but from amongst their own midst.

Let’s call things by their proper names. This is fascism, not Conservatism.

“I really believe in my heart that the former prime minister was misunderstood,” Ambrose said. “Stephen Harper loved humanity, it was just people that he couldn’t stand.”

And she wasn’t done throwing shade on her ex-boss, floating some possible new party slogans:

“The Conservative Party of Canada — It’s OK, the bad man’s gone away,” and “The Conservative Party of Canada — 30 per cent fewer nuts.”

Rona Ambrose a real peach not.
Three parties in one, that’s what we’re gonna have.

    • He couldn’t stand people?

      Then he was honest.

I wouldn’t have time for douchebags who called me an Austrian nauseating moustachioed fascist.

Who’s really, genuinely surprised by this? The only “conservative” position they took was pro-Israel. Not on gun rights, private property rights, not Castle Doctrine, public “services” like the CBC or traitor/papist Jason Kenney’s brown pandering on immigration.

That all being said, Harper’s as close to conservative as Canada will ever see again. If that doesn’t make you immediately want to jump a border to Montana or Idaho, nothing will.

Vote whoring in aid of the rent seeking oligarch ticket, both foreign and domestic, is always very popular with overly ambitious CINO hollow people.

Successful political parties will accrue opportunists over time.
People who don’t necessarily believe in everything the party stands for but just want a ride on the gravy train.
    Look at the Alberta Conservatives.
