Russian Insider Says State-Run Doping Fueled Olympic Gold

LOS ANGELES — Dozens of Russian athletes at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, including at least 15 medal winners, were part of a state-run doping program, meticulously planned for years to ensure dominance at the Games, according to the director of the country’s antidoping laboratory at the time.

The director, Grigory Rodchenkov, who ran the laboratory that handled testing for thousands of Olympians, said he developed a three-drug cocktail of banned substances that he mixed with liquor and provided to dozens of Russian athletes, helping to facilitate one of the most elaborate — and successful — doping ploys in sports history.

    The Russians cheated at something?
    No way!

Cheating is some kind of national hobby in that culture. They are to cheating what Canada is to hockey.
Really, it’s something they spend endless hours and effort trying to pull off. They get off on it!
How Russians subvert systems is truly a thing of wonder and beauty.

    • Imagine what the Chinese are doing.

        It’s different with the Chineese.
They cheat to get more of something (usually money or advantage) but the Russians almost do it for the sheer joy of cheating.
It’s something that you just have to see in action.

BTW, if we were smart, all criminally accused Russians would just immediately move to their sentencing phase, and their eligibility for public services would be virtually nonexistent.
A beautiful kind and loving people, but utterly untrustworthy.
