Customer launches bizarre tirade at ‘racist’ McDonald’s staff who refuse to serve him in drive-thru because he is on a horse and cart

  • Dana Garcia

I’ve heard stories of horses carrying their inebriated owners home, or at least to the barn without direction.

    Just sayin.

    • FactsWillOut

Riding while intoxicated must be clamped down upon, because…animal cruelty?

    • Kathy Prendergast

Horses are able to find their way home from a very long distance; that’s why people in the days before cars were often alerted to accidents or other catastrophes on the road as horses, if they were uninjured, would go home without their riders. OK, so I’m thinking now of the scene in the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, when the horse Philliipe arrives at home without Beauty’s father. Calamity!

  • Alain

While it sounds like this was a setup, ready to film the whole thing, it was ridiculous to refuse to serve him. The argument for refusing to serve him is rubbish, but it would have been wiser for him to let them know he will spread the word about that particular McDonalds recommending others not to go there and leave the scene.

Money, in and of itself, has no loyalty.

  • David Smith

equinephobia, equine lives matter. six months cleaning up after the horse for you.

If I was the owner of that franchised place, I’d fire the guy who refused to take his money.

  • canminuteman

I’ve tried to walk through a MacDonalds (while inebriated, many many years ago) drive through because they were closed and been refused service. I don’t know why it matters to anyone whether you drive or not.

    • Mark DeFord Eletion

You need to arrive in the drive-thru with something big like a car to prevent the next customer from running over you. A wagon should provide enough protection.

  • andycanuck

They have Mennonites in the UK?
[Note: did not watch the video]

    • Alain

They do however have “travellers”. No idea if this was one or not however.

      • Kathy Prendergast

Travellers are Irish, they used to be called “Tinkers” and live the same kind of nomadic lifestyle Gypsies do although they are not related to them, although if they’re born in England I suppose they have more of their own dialect. Like Gypsies they are also widely disliked. This guy however sounds like a Scot.

  • Kathy Prendergast

Just further proof of how utterly meaningless the term “racist” has become.

  • Maggat

That poor woman, I can understand her look of bewilderment.

  • Dave

Is it me or are the brits getting more and more stupid as time goes on? Oh wait, Ive seen David Cameron and Jeremy Corbyn. ’nuff said.
Oh yeah, had the douche bags just given him his order…
