From the Times…
Wow! Cruz got hammered flat. Lost to Kaisich!
It was a bad loss, but the delegate “count” is weird, to get all the delegates he has to get +50% Statewide and +50% of the vote in each of 27 separate districts.
Trump will get north of ninety delegates out of New York.
Did Cruz just get “mathematically eliminated” ? People are saying that right now on two different networks.
Virtually. Cruz has 553 and 740 are left. If he swept the table he’d have 1293. Not gonna happen. Trump has 847 and needs 390 of the 740 left to reach the line.
Kasich took Manhattan and won three delegates. Trump won 60 counties, with only Broome County (Binghamton) still undecided as of 11:40 PM. Hillary won the counties that include New York City, Long Island and its northern suburbs, as well as Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. The remaining 49 counties went for Bernie.
trump ? liar Clinton . wait I just got a knock on the door
Democratic side also interesting – Hillary won in a few “big vote” areas, but most of the state is for Bernie.
will the usa really go socialist?
The Trumpenreich is coming, prepare yourself accordingly.
I think his time is now.
Twenty years ago I thought a Trump candidacy was a pipe dream. Then we got McCain and Romney. And The Apprentice. When Trump ruled the reality TV culture for ten years I knew that Breitbart was right. Culture leads politics. And then when Trump came out swinging saying all the right wrong things I knew for sure. This guy was a sure thing.

Watch “Safety Last!” Best silent film in the history of silent films, IMO. Maybe Harold Lloyd has better stuff, but I saw the entire collection and just grabbed it. “Look Who’s Back” is kind of funny in a subtitled German comedy kinda way.
I love silent films. My kids don’t appreciate them, yet. By the way, what are Trump’s numbers on the ground in California?
Trump’s very strong in CA, high 50’s but as high as the low 60’s at points. This state is really warming up to him but everyone here is in hate Cruz mode. That’s what I hear the most of.
Right on. What bugs me the most is that the media is always saying Trump loses to Hillary in the polls they publish. It’s bullshit. He hasn’t even turned to face her, yet.
I’m still not sure i trust trump. He says all the right things but…
Now Cruz I trust a lot less and all the other canidates for both parties I don’t trust at all.
Except for Bernie; I dispise his message and everything he stands for, and I think he shows what is fundamentally wrong with the US…. but I do trust him to do the things he says he will do. I just don’t want any of them done.
In Safety Last you get some great shots of L.A. in the mid 1920’s. That’s worth it all by itself, but the building climbing sequence is quite scary especially when you realize that his safety equipment was a few matrisses on a ledge of a ledge.
I watched it last weekend. I could never do what they did. I hate heights.
‘Speedy’ and ‘The General’ are excellent.
People scoffed that Reagan was two-bit movie star when he first ran.
For me Trump also has some similarities with Teddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt was known for his exploits as a colorful backwoodsman in the same way Trump is known for his exploits in business.
I like what Trump says re: Muslims— But-he says a lot of other stuff and his ‘Art of the Deal’ is not something that is good for anybody. We will see if he continually wants to threaten other Counties with the Power of the USA.
No, really, what stuff does he say that you don’t like? I’m courious. Do you think America would be better with more Mexicans living in it? What don’t you like about him. I’m not trying to convert you, but what do you think would make him perfect?
Nothing will make Trump perfect. Besides -I think that if he wins the Republican nomination -then he will simmer down his rhetoric. I also want him to win.
Just remember that both Trump and Hillary/Sanders have to pivot to the center after the nomination to secure the moderates. How many people that pisses off and what they do (stay home or cross party lines) is going to determine the election.
