Isis and Italian mafia teaming up to smuggle cannabis into Europe

The Islamic State is working with the Italian mafia to smuggle cannabis to Europe, a new investigation shows.

While smoking and handling hashish is forbidden under Sharia law and the group punishes those living in its territory in Syria and Iraq caught using it, its leaders are making millions from helping smuggle it, according to Franco Roberti, Italy’s national anti-terror and anti-mafia chief.

Yes, and the narco terrorists in Mexico are helping Islamic terrorists back here, for money.

And who are the consumers who buy this stuff? The usual crowd of losers.

    One mafia to another.

If the west would legalize it, there wouldn’t be any money to be made with it, so, as usual, the western leadership is complicit with enabling terrorists.

It is a silly substance made all the sillier by criminalization. Of course, if pot was legalized in Europe ISIS and the Mafia would simply find something else to smuggle.

    • FactsWillOut

If they smuggled in weapons for private individuals to buy, then they would be doing the Europeans a favor.
The fact is, the only things they can smuggle exist because the local leadership has either banned or put prohibitive controls or taxes on them.

I simply wish that the medical lobby would seriously STUDY it. Cannabis brings great relief/benefits to epileptics; many autistics benefit from cannabinol infusions as well. Cannabis’ medical potential needs to be explored.

Cannabis is a legitimate part of many peoples’ cultures.

Look at the ancient Persian assassins, who used to very heavily use hashish.

That sect of Muslim assassins over time assimilated a bit of other cultures to become the “moderate” Ismailis who do not see alcohol as forbidden, nor cannabis

As one who hunts, I would never smoke hash before doing so. Can’t understand those Persians…..

      • DavidinNorthBurnaby

They smoked the hashish *after* they had done the hit.

Cocaine, heroin, pot, etc were all legal and practically unregulated in the 19th century.
The drug problem arose as an after-the-fact pretext for the war on drugs.
