Thomas Mulcair

Mulcair lost by bowing to Islamism

Thomas Mulcair, the man who could have been Canada’s first New Democrat prime minister, will now be remembered as a blip in the country’s political history.

Having lost last year’s election, and not having had the grace to step down as leader of the party at that time, Mulcair was unceremoniously dumped by party activists at last week’s NDP convention in Edmonton.

  • Ron MacDonald

If Mulcair is accused of bowing to Islam, how would you describe Justin Trudeau’s approach?

    • John

But neither Trudeau nor Mulcair won that many seats in Québec.

      • FivePointSpurgeon

No, just the entirety of the Maritimes and most of Ontario. Who needs QC when you win like that?

        • John

Yeah, that’s true. All you need is Ontario and then a few other seats here and there. Québec is now too small demographically to still be a deal breaker

Let me know if there’s a butt left in Canada I haven’t kissed yet.

If mulcair bowed to islam then turdeau bent over for islam.

    • Exactly my thought. Trudeau was equally against the niquab ban, even though polls from every Province showed that Canadians were overwhelmingly in support of it. So why did Trudeau win?

  • simus1

Those who engineered the federal NDP upsurge and just as sudden collapse in Quebec must be very shy modest people. No interest at all by our fearless journos when it comes to shining a spotlight on such masters of the political arts.
    All very strange.

Well, French citizen Mulcair still has his family villa in France.

Provence will be heaven after years of attempting to herd thousands of idiotic Canadians of the marxist variety along a sensible path.

Trudeau outflanked him on the left. If it wasn’t so tragic it would be funny.

  • bargogx1

I’m going to hazard a guess that it also had something to do with his lame attempt to change his image from “serious” Thomas Mulcair to “friendly” Tom Mulcair. It failed miserably.

    • Justin St.Denis

Frankly, I think Tom’s problem was being unable to shake the “Crazy Tom Mulcair” persona.

I still believe that if he had shaved his beard it would have taken the focus off of his crazy eyes and he might have had a better chance.
Look at the picture of him in the niqab.
You can only focus on his eyes.

I disagree , mulcair’s defense of the enforced wearing of muslim bee keeper outfits was in fact meant to appeal to the same looney left in his party ,that kicked him out. The lunatics have now seized the asylum and the rabid anti west types like naomi klein and the appalling avi lewis will finish off what is left of e jack layton’s populist bubble. back to the low teens scum.!
