Trump says allies must start paying for ‘American protection’

Donald Trump wants US allies to ante up if they want to continue under the “cloak of American protection,” according to his first detailed comments on his foreign-policy platform.

  • But how will pay for Justin?

    • Drunk_by_Noon

      Say again cat man leader.
      Your last transmission was garbled.

      • WalterBannon

I say again, fire to neutralize over.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

Confirm, repeat fire mission- fire for effect- danger close.

          • favill

            Rounds complete.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            The ‘tangos’ are burning nicely.
            End of mission.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

Trump seems to have taken every radio talk show talking point for the last 40-years and rolled them into his campaign messages.
I thought NATO should have been disbanded by the mid 1990’s, yet it lives on.
Yeah, why are we protecting these countries AT ALL if they don’t even see the need of paying for their own common defense?
I’m looking at you South Korea. I know, there are far worse offenders like Belgium and Italy and Greece, but still… we are done with you clowns.
    The lot of you!

    • Kell

while flying Korean and Vietnam era aircraft off of them, I don’t think so…we could have 500 AC’s and couldn’t whip them single, shit, the US can’t even whip sand niggers riding camels! you kidding me?!!!

      • Raymond Hietapakka

Too pussified to do real bombing, in fear of killing the odd innocent goat or two…

    • Raymond Hietapakka

It would wind up being a total mess on both sides….

  • Ron MacDonald

He’s right, pay up or we keep the territory gained.

  • WalterBannon

Sounds reasonable. Start with Canada. Kick them out of Norad and stop sharing intel with that leaky pro-muslim RCMP.

    • ntt1

The RCMP is not pro-muslim, just sensitive …very sensitive.

      • favill

You’re not saying it right…it’s “sensitif” said the the most flaming accent you can muster.

    • Minicapt

The costs of NORAD have been 75% US, and 25% Canada.

    • Drunk_by_Noon

Kicking Canada out of NORAD is kind of like kicking your own date outta the car.
Odds are, the rest of the evening ain’t going to be any fun.

  • ntt1

Shit I guess that means we will be forced to send turdo la doo down south to work off our collective debt as a trumpkin pool boy.

  • Brett_McS

Yeh, Canada, ante up! Got to pay for that stupid F-35 somehow.

    • favill

What happens when Canada can’t pay? I say we give them (the US) Quebec.

      • Canadian

The US ain`t rich enough to pay for us.

  • Jose M Ruiz

This guy is an Idiot. Ok Red State is a tad biased for Cruz but the fact is the rules were known ahead of time, nobody changed the rules after the fact. Trump is by the looks of things about to get owned.

  • Pavelina

Great Idea! We can use that money to pay off the national debt.

  • Norman_In_New_York

Once again, Trump tells truths nobody else dare say. NATO obsolete and in need of revision? How shocking! Allies reimburse us for defending them? Who’da thunk it?

  • Tokenn

Forcing Canada and NATO allies to ante up for the common defense might take their concentration away from PC enforcement…

I think President Trump should get a list of all American foreign military bases in order of strategic importance and shut down the bottom half of the list. He could then bring the troops home and station them along the Mexican border to keep out migrants. There could be a lot of win in that situation….

  • BillyHW

Justine will fine the terrorists with our gay marriages.

  • Kell

LOL…like Americans can defend anyone, anywhere when it appears they too have joined the long list of asshats who refuse to identify who and what the enemy is…how do you protect others while inviting the enemy into your own house! assholes!

  • canminuteman

It seems reasonable to me. One of the reasons that Europe is on its death bead now, is because it is so highly socialist. It got this way because it spent the money it should have spent on defence on free stuff for it’s citizens. I call this tough love.

  • unalien

Trump is an idiot,, NATO is an extension of US foreign policy, its role is to maintain US influence and hegemony in the world under the guise of a “coalition”, Japan for example is a vassal State. The reason the US has so many military bases around the world is to protect US interests. Trump is either ignorant or lying,, what is new.. US hegemony is on the decline and at risk, Trumps actions will cause foreign nations to pull away from the US. The only power the US has is the control of the global money system, a debt ponzi scheme kept going through coercion, they need foreign nations to accept worthless “printed” US dollars for labour, goods and trade. Every nation knows that US is insolvent and engaged in a debt ponzi scheme that requires global participation.. Trump thinks the US has the strong hand, they don’t, nations are making moves to begin to get out from under the US dollar system, the US is on the decline, Trump will accelerate that decline. However, Trump is a serial liar and flip flopper so his ignorance knows no bounds..

The world is heading to war as the US debt ponzi scheme is nearing collapse,,,

Too bad Joe and Jane sixpack have been kept so ignorant by the media, education system and elites…
