Socialist or Fascist

obama fascist

It bothers me a little when conservatives call Barack Obama a “socialist.” He certainly is an enemy of the free market, and wants politicians and bureaucrats to make the fundamental decisions about the economy. But that does not mean that he wants government ownership of the means of production, which has long been a standard definition of socialism.

That fits perfectly with him being two-faced.

The Nazis were certainly socialist; they were heard to say they would teach Russia about REAL socialism. They understood that, as long as CONTROL of the means of production rested with government, ownership of same was a non-issue.

This definition raises the question of whether the kibbutz movement in Israel is socialism, since the kibbutz members themselves and not the government control the means of production within their domain. This question might be of some significance since Bernie Sanders spent some time in one of them and it supposedly helped shape his socialism.

Doubt that Emperor Barry has much interest in going out beyond the shallow end of simplistic leftist dogma in his more reflective moments.

  • Can’t he be socialist and fascist?

  • Socialists are fascists.
