  • That’s cultural somethin or other! It’s like a micro-aggression!

Shamrocks have three leaves, not four, eejits.

I suppose if Italians, Hispanics, and Arabs, many of whom are as pasty as I am, can claim “non-white” status and all the special-snowflake privileges it affords, then so can we Micks. I’m offended, dammit! #Irishshamrocksmatter!

Now THAT’s cultural appropriation! Or just wrong…

    • Blacksmith

I actually found a four leaf clover when I was a kid, growing in the back yard.

      • Kathy Prendergast

Shamrocks are basically clovers, I think, or at least closely related but the symbol of Ireland always has three leaves; I think it’s supposed to represent the Holy Trinity, or possibly have some pre-Christian origins.

Yeah what I found was a 3 leaf clover, We had a yard covered i clover. The one I found was actually 3 1/2 leaf clover.
