Evangelicals Israel

The subversion of American Evangelicals

Monday the Bethleham Bible College, an Evangelical Christian college in Jesus’s hometown, opened its fourth biennial Christ at the Checkpoint conference. The conference, which is directed specifically toward US Evangelicals, will run through the week.

Today, Evangelical communities in the US number anywhere between 60 and 150 million people, depending on who is counting. They form the backbone of American support for the Jewish state. It is the support of the Evangelical community, rather than the Jewish community in the US that ensures that come hell or high water, no matter how Israel is demonized in the media and in academia, the majority of Americans continue to support Israel.

But will this support last?

Judenhaas is metastasizing to a horrifying extent, more and more Israel is isolated. Its time to get proactive and take back land that was ceded for peace that never happened. Send the Arabs to Jordan where they belong.
    Bring on David’s Sling.

Nuking Iran might be an idea too. 😉

    OK . I will bite.
How can a Jew -Not support Israel ?
What the hell do you want?

  • k1962

I hope their support lasts. They are the best friends Israel has. It’s very disheartening to read about Israel (Jew) hating evangelicals.

That’s a vast overstatement, but there is a growing belief within many mainstream Christain denominations of a more ‘hands-off’, rather than the previous ‘unconditional love’ approach to Israel.
No announcements have been made, but I can feel it.
Personally, I think it’s more realistic and healthy, but a lot of that changing attitude can be laid at the feet of the secular Jews in America that DO have an extreme hatred of Christianity, and that’s just getting noticed.
Describing any evolving Christian attitudes as a hatred is wildly inaccurate, and American Christians they still are the best friends Israel has ever has, but that goodwill is getting pissed away quickly, but it’s not out of any solidarity with the Palistinians.

      • k1962

Sorry, but with regards to the “mainstream” churches in Canada, they have never been a friend to Israel, generally speaking. And I don’t blame Jews for any of it. I mean we are talking about a “DISLIKE” that is thousands of years old and I really don’t think that they take into account what type of Jew a person (secular, religious, Jew for Jesus, whatever) when it comes to their anti-Israel pro-BDs policies. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and that’s mine.

        • Shebel

You are 100% correct. I am glad you used the word ‘dislike’ because if I ask anyone why they dislike or hate the Jews ( and to be quite honest- nobody will say they do) .
IF– I was to get an answer, it would be from the younger generation —that has fully bought in to Israeli aggression to Palestine .
I can talk about rockets and stabbings and it really doesn’t matter.
For me it is pure propaganda by our Media and our Universities. I don’t know how it came to this and don’t know what motivates this deception. It has to be our Gov’t.

          I just don’t understand-Why.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            Why what?

        • Drunk_by_Noon

Things are different here, the talk is different.
Things used to be rabidly Pro Israel.
          Full stop.
No other mode of thinking was allowed.
I have noticed the change over the last few years that also coincided with a recognition that not all Jews are the same.
          Different talk, same time line.
The hows and whys I can only surmise.

          • k1962

The number of Muslims and Arabs in the U.S. has grown significantly and they are lobbying hard and I don’t mean with the government. For some reason those on the left (and that’s where the so-called mainstream churches are headed…not the Evangelicals) have a common cause with their struggle. This might be part of the reason for the change that you are seeing. Israel has not been the underdog in a long time and the left likes to champion the underdog. Good night.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            I wish Israel well.

          • k1962

            Thanks 🙂

            Me too.

    • Shebel

It is very disheartening to read about Israel (Jew hating Jews).
This is very difficult to believe.
What the sweet fuck do you guys want?

      • k1962

Look. There are plenty of Jews who were raised (by two Jewish parents or one Jewish parent) without being taught their religion, history and culture. Knowing what it means to be Jewish is not something that is inborn. You learn it and live it or you do not. Combine that with being hated and blamed for many bad events in the world along with being accused of having a dual loyalty and you have Jews who don’t want to be connected to their people, to Israel or to their religion. I have friends who have who relatives who are like this, but they have not trouble celebrating Christmas. I also have two neighbours like this. When this guy moved in he was always talking to me about Jewish things. I didn’t know he was Jewish, I just thought he was creepy. Then after many months it came out and I said, “you’re Jewish?” He stood there silent thinking about it and answered yes, but not practicing. He has 2 Jewish parents who are only now getting involved on their community. The neighbour told me they did nothing Jewish while growing up. He is married to a Catholic and his kids are not being raised Jewish and this is how you get sort of Jews and Jews who don’t care about other Jews or Jewish interests. It’s pretty sad. We will die out as a people except for the orthodox. But we have lost a lot of people along the way to intermarriage and pogroms and the holocaust. It’s amazing there are any of us left.

And don’t ask what we want. We are not a monolithic group. We have Jews who care and those who don’t just like any other people.

  • Norman_In_New_York

Most American Evangelicals are not oblivious to the anti-Christian genocide taking place in Arab and Muslim countries. Even Israeli Christians are waking up to reality.

Killing George Soros would go a long way toward reconciling things.

    • DavidinNorthBurnaby

First in with “metaphorically of course”! 🙂

      • jack burns

        sure. ok.
