Precious little asshats to fire U police

For microaggressions. From Daily Caller:

Student activists at Western Washington University (WWU) have published a formidable list of demands, ordering the creation of a new college dedicated to social justice as well as the formation of a student committee with the power to fire faculty members and even police officers who engage in microaggressions. The demands issued by the Student Assembly for Power and Liberation (SAPL) may not be as lengthy as those issued at Oberlin College, or as visible as those made at the University of Missouri or Harvard University, but they more than make up for that in sheer ambition: WWU demands the creation of an entirely new college. This so-called College of Power and Liberation is to be immediately staffed with at least ten full-time faculty members (with hiring decisions controlled by the activists themselves) and will be focused exclusively on furthering “social justice.” More.

Reality check: Sure. Fire the police. The law of the jungle may be the best plan after all.

One wonders about the job prospects if some hairball klutz with a degree in “Power and Liberation”.

What’s to wonder about? Their only prospects are to stay in academia (shifting from student to teacher) and perpetuate the cycle, or if they’re very lucky (or connected) get hired on at some corporation as a ‘diversity consultant’ or similar made-up profession in order to virtue signal for that firm.

There is a species of desert frog that spawns only when the big rains come.
The season is so short that normal frogs couldn’t survive to adulthood.
As a reproductive strategy they have adapted by producing as many tadpoles as they can.
While the pools they live in dry out some of the tadpoles become cannibals and eat their siblings.
In this way a few survive to adulthood before the land becomes desert again.
This is how I view academia.

“The law of the jungle may be the best plan after all.”
    I am impressed.
You seem to actually get it, Denyse.
You see, real laws have their own built-in punishment, and they are relative.

Fine then let them fund their own institution and then they can operate it as they wish. They most certainly contribute nothing and therefore are not entitled to have a say in how things are run.

I’d be fine with all of this, end all classes, burn the library, fire the staff, end all requirements, cancel all degree programs, fire the police. And make everything free.
