Justin Trudeau Gets His Wish And America Now Realizes Canada Has A New Prime Minister

justin-trudeau-41[1]

Yeah, let’s just say that the “noticing” of the new PM has had some uhhh… unintended consequences.  Yeah I like that phrase.

You could also describe some of the reactions from some Americans as ‘impertinent’. Yes, I shall use that word too.

Almost all however are knee-slappers, as long as you gloss over the occasional over-reaction of those hotheads calling for the thermonuclear destruction of Ottawa. And really, you should give us points there too because that really is the capital of Canada. The reaction is mostly playful in nature and the calls of “finishing what we started in 1812” are in a distinct, minority. A very tiny minority, if you exclude what I heard on call-in talk radio while coming home tonight. Let’s just say that six second audio delay got quite the workout!

Due to Canada’s strict libel laws, I’ll only note that the comments about his wife, mother, siblings, father and any speculation of his being the illegitimate offspring of a chance encounter with his mother and the cartoon character Bullwinkle in the men’s room at Studio 54 are obviously hyperbole, and not meant to be taken seriously.

So yes, thank you PM Trudeau, you have made us Americas just a bit more aware than we were yesterday, and we now resolve to pay a lot more attention to Canada in the future! In fact, that process got quite the jump start today.

Furthermore, I’m sure those lighthearted jabs you made at Donald Trump, without actually naming him, back in December, when you kind of implied that he was a Nazi will never come back to haunt you. Yes, I am quite certain of that!

I notice that reserved sense of exuberance Canada is famous for! 🙂

You should know by now that some of us are shrieking.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

I think the whole thing is kind of funny, and besides, it will all blow over in the next 24-hour news cycle.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

It will just cement the perception that Canada is led by a fuckwad.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

No, no, no, you over-estimate the situation.
We just think he’s kind of a frat boy douche, that’s all.
            It’s not that bad.
We have a non-stop diet of hearing from every leftist douche weasel with a petty grievance the world over.
Today it’s the Canadian PM, tomorrow it will be the South Korean farmers, then after that there will be some idiot in South America blaming America for crap the Spanish did 200-years ago.
Really, we just tune it out.
If we didn’t we’d just go mad and kill everyone.
So, not being on America’s radar (and God forbid the American public’s radar) is usually a very good thing.
I know it seems like your country is being ignored, but it’s not.
Take it as a compliment that we don’t have to worry about you.
            See?

Canadians are always on some American’s radar.

No. That is not true. It is the marxist left in all Western Sovereign Countries that put us Patriots on their fake radar. Stand Tall.

Seven years of Obama in contrast to the best Prime Minister of all time compared to the dipshit that we have now is why I am hoping for the counterweight of Trump.

          • k1962

That’s basically what my husband says to me everyday when I tell him about some law Justin is going to repeal. He says, there’s nothing I can do about so not to let it get to me. But Justin is dangerous and he is going to ruin this country within a year. How do we undo 50,000+ Syrian refugees? I hate Justin.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Can’t you give them to the Indians?

          • k1962

I’d rather give them to the Chinese! They would deal with them!

          • infedel

Never say there is nothing that can be done or how can we deport the million illegals…well as easily as they came..and cut their funding..it is not a human right to illegally enter a country with civil rights; that which makes a county

          • k1962

I guess he doesn’t like to see me upset. Anyway, I pass on all of this information to my friends who would also prefer not know how PM stupid is screwing up the country.

By the way, have you ever heard of the band Galaxie 500?
        They were great.
Not yuge, since they were from Massachusetts.
        But, they were great.
Curt Kobain couldn’t hold a candle to their understated and powerful minimalism.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

          No, I don’t know them.

Someone somewhere felt worse than I did and made a record.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Like Prozac on vinyl then! 🙂
OK, i’ll give it a listen all the way through.

            Regional band.
            Remember when they had those?
Kinda like Dale Bozzio and Nobody Drives in LA.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Missing Person’s played at my High School during lunch!
It was 1980 or 1981 I think. Dale Bozzio wore a bikini under a clear bubble wrap skirt.

Yeah the Americans are really going to take an interest in Trudeau after his 60 Minutes interview. From Stewart Bell:

“Trudeau tells 60 Minutes, even if a Syrian refugee commits terrorism his policy was right. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/60-minutes-preview-prime-minister-trudeau … ”
    https://twitter.com/StewartBellNP

    • Drunk_by_Noon

That’s not going to play well down here.

      • Frances

It doesn’t play that well up here either, at least among those of us who are sane.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

And it’s excellent because he’s unmasked himslef.

      • Ann

Indeed, the Americans were so concerned about Trudeau’s policy that in Feb the U.S. Senate’s Homeland Security committee held a hearing entitled: “Canada’s Fast-Track Refugee Plan: Unanswered Questions and Implications for U.S. National Security.”

        • Drunk_by_Noon

Actually, I kept meaning to tell you, that sentiment has been brewing down here for quite a while, since just after 9/11.
The U.S. / Canadian border used to be damn near an honor system kind of thing, and it’s sad to see that go away.

          • Ann

Prior to 911, had it not been for an alert American customs agent, Los Angles International Airport would have been the target for a terrorist attack by al-Qaida operative Ahmed Ressam, the Millennium Bomber that had crossed from Canada to the US with a trunk loaded explosives + timers.

          • Frances

Agree. Grew up near the border and we were always to-ing and fro-ing. Back in the day, the nearest US border post was 7 miles down the highway and then off into a small town. Was a while before Americans decided to build a customs post right on the border, and probably because had figured out a fair few Canadians would cross the line for a picnic without the bother of checking in.

          • infedel

True. I grew up in Detroit and had cousins in Windsor, Toronto, and our goofy BMW mechanic cousins in Quebec. I grew up sailing and enjoying motor watercraft on the Great Lakes. My Grandparents had a huge cabin cruiser that could sleep twelve and we docked in many great Canadian towns every summer. We also could enjoy going over the Ambassador Bridge to watch our 4th of July fireworks from your side. Yes it is very sad….that is marxism…take a bit of their freedom away by consensus for security because they will fight if they knew what was at stake—paraphrasing here.

          • k1962

And I went the other way. My mom was from Detroit and my dad from Windsor. My mom moved to Windsor after getting married and we used to cross the border every weekend to visit relatives in the suburbs of Detroit. Was nice and didn’t take nearly as long as crossing the Vancouver/Blaine border. Cost more to cross in Windsor though because of the bridge and tunnel.

Oh and you bring up the Freedom Festival fireworks, a big event in Windsor (and Detroit) for sure 🙂 Great view from any of the many parks on the Windsor side of the border.

            Remember Boblo?

          • infedel

Yes;we docked at Boblo Island and as kids we also took the Boblo Boat (they sold wishnicks) to enjoy the roller coasters and petting zoos before the zooanimals ruined it.

          • k1962

            Nice memories 🙂

          • infedel

I wish you the same! xo

    • What an ass. I hope he ‘s made to repeat that statement while face to face with a victim’s family.

      • Ann

If you recall the last time he had contact with a victim’s family, the husband hung up on him because of Trudeau’s insincerity and lack of empathy:

“Yves Richard told a radio host on Thursday that he didn’t appreciate Trudeau’s “canned” expression of sympathy, following the death of Richard’s wife, Maude Carrier.
Carrier was one of six Quebecers killed in an attack by al Qaeda last Friday, at the Splendid Hotel in Burkina Faso.
Richard said Trudeau called him to offer his sympathies, but spoke in an overly-political tone, wishing him luck and describing the victims as a source of Canadian pride.
“I told him to stop his political blabbing,” Richard told Montreal radio station 98.5 FM. “If he’s going to call me, then at least he should know who the Carriers are. It wasn’t out of Canadian pride that they were doing what they were doing but rather because they were basically good people.”

        • Very true, he is an bad actor in every sense of the term.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

Total comtempt for the safety of Canadians is a Liberal hallmark.

    • Ive always liked Canada, but I can say that many people I speak to right now see Canada as a big open border for terrorists to get into the USA.

People see what is happening in Europe, and the word on the street is we want to stop open visa with Europe because of the flood of muslims from terrorist countries now obtaining EU passports.

Should Canada gain a reputation for being a safe harbor of muslims from isis countries then the pressure to close the border with Canada, for real this time, will grow.

      • Who could blame you?

      • Frances

Actually, Honest, most of the terrorists infesting the US have been let in “legally” by yourselves. Don’t say they can’t come via Canada, but really haven’t so far – with the exception of the idiot who took the ferry from Victoria and got caught in Washington state.

        • Not saying it has been that way before, but all I am saying is with your prime minister giving a red carpet to a bunch of people from countries with known problems of islamic terrorists, its giving a lot of people worries about what COULD happen.

Like so far Europe has not been a gateway for islamic terrorists into the USA, but considering Europe has just let millions of unidentified people into Europe, is making them citizens, is giving them passports, many people are saying that the risks out weigh the benifits of keeping visa free travel from europe in place, and at the rate peoples fears are growing the same calls will be made to do it with Canada as well.

If you told someone ten years ago that the EU were going to open the gates and allow millions of muslims in nobody would have believed it. Times are changing my friend.

          • infedel

True…but then they have been considering letting turkey trojan horse in. HUGE mistake as moslems took over Christian land — turkey– created a genocide to become moslem.. Wake up West… we have the knowledge and tech.

          • Exile1981

They just gave Turkey open borders to the EU zone today.

          • infedel

Oh shit…and merke gave them billions to stop a soros invasion of million per year for 80 million raping moslem turks that created genocide unknown to any Western civilization and stoleour boys to fight their wars (like today we give for shit holes like afgan…)—they are mad and are sacrificing their women and children for diversity and not to be called racist while the invaders are beating up and raping the host and calling the host racist for fighting the invasion and genocide of their culture.–phuque that… STAND UP NOW…do you think our kids will like being enslaved being you forfeited your hard fought ancestral rights because you were afraid of being called a name by indoctrinated msm… a word…look around what is real. Look at History

        • infedel

All the Western nwo un politicians are to blame…we fought off islam for 1400 years and now the left is flooding us with them thinking they will be nice because we are forced to agree to diversity and to multi culti…well no one sovereign nation agreed to multiculturalism…that destroys nations as no multiculti will fight for a nation unless they have history and a shared culture..just what the globast want.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

Nobody is blaming Canada for anything yet, but it’s more of a proactive thinking ahead.
In a worst-case scenario what would the reaction be if a half dozen unvented new-Canadian refugees cook off a radiological truck bomb in Times Square while it’s filled full of tourists?
Neither of us want a border that looks like the one with Mexico.

Can anybody find that post 9/11 CBC town hall forum video where half the audience seemed to be cheering.
I saw that about a day or two after it aired in Canada, and then down the memory hole.
I can’t even find a trace that it even existed, but at the time a lot of people down here were talking about it.
