Nato chief: Vladimir Putin ‘weaponising’ refugee crisis to ‘break’ Europe

Vladimir Putin is purposefully creating a refugee crisis in order to “overwhelm” and “break” Europe, Nato’s military commander in Europe said today.

Gen Philip Breedlove, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and the head of the US European Command, said that President Putin and Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad had “weaponised” migration through a campaign of bombardment against civilian centres.

Well they certainly had willing partners, as I recall it was Merkel who flung the doors wide open followed happily by other useful idiot virtue signalers like our own PM Dopey.

I’ve been writing this for the past year, it was obvious a group with organizational skills was involved. Europe should be sending them to Russia.

    • Sid Falco

How is Russia getting them from the Syrian border to the Turkish coast ?

It’s Turkey ffs. Russia wasn’t even in Syria a year ago.

      • Agree fully. Russia has nothing to do with it. Probably some leftist in Nato trying to divert attention from its many failings. Nato should have been present at Europe’s borders fending off the invaders with gunboats.

      • African

It is not Putin but the “regime changers” of this world who destabilized the M.E. and created ISIS and the refugees.

  • Sid Falco

Complete fucking bullshit. It’s Erdogan for hijra/jihad and Merkel for God knows what – blackmail/communism/guilt.

    • Ron MacDonald

It’s Putin, Erdogan and Assad working together to destabilize the West. Many of the so-called refugees Stupid has allowed into Canada are probably operatives.

      • Sid Falco

      • Putin is not anti-West. He is pro-Russia. Subtle distinction to keep in mind. In fact, he is relatively friendly to the West, but the love is little reciprocated due to knee-jerk reactions and anti-Russian propaganda.

        • El Martyachi

Once upon a time believed it was possible to be pro-Russia without being anti-West, too.

          • Sid Falco

            jfc, everyone’s a smug expert.

Pro-west is now pro gay parade, pro Islam, pro multiculti, pro global warming, pro carbon tax, pro-safe space, pro-hate crime, pro cronyism, etc.
Not to mention that the west is now anti-white, anti-free-speech, anti private gun ownership, anti-small business, etc.
            I’m proud to be anti-west.

          • El Martyachi

… wasn’t always that way.. doesn’t need to remain so.

            Gandalf is a fictitious character.
It took great power to overcome the USSR, King George, and Hitler.
Sadly, it seems that in many other cases, the bad guys won.
Now the bad guys are running things because the west handed them power on a sliver fucking platter.

          • El Martyachi

There’s no easy answers. Except.. try and be good 😉

All I do is eat, work and sleep, and a few beers on the weekend and a bit of range time, and about an hour’s time here or at AT.
It’s enough for me, but I tire of the constant assault on my dignity as a human being being perpetrated against me by the left.
            I am very angry.

          • El Martyachi

            You’re far from alone…
And worth keeping in mind, always, is that there’s only three things worth dying for…

          • Yes, Putin has a dark side. Locally and internationally.

        • African

          Exactly! Very well-said!

  • Dana Garcia

That would be a stupid move if true. Putin has enough troublesome diversity at home without loading it up next door.

    • He seems to be making the case for not bombing anyone in Syria;)

      • simus1

Breedlove sounds like an Emperor Barry hangers on type.

      • Solo712

BF, this is just a ploy to get Assad to consolidate the Syrian state power in recaptured areas. The ceasefire was designed to simplify the military situation and focus on the islamist core, ie ISIS and al-Nusra while letting the rest of the ragtag opposition try their luck with reemerging Assad as the dominant party.

  • topposter

That’s crap, I’m not a big fan of Putin but seriously, what hogwash. The only thing that’s breaking Europe is the willingness to give anything and everything to it’s invaders. All they have to do is cut off the welfare to illegals and the migration will reverse itself overnight.

    • Yes, But Europe also needs to forcibly eject the hoi polloi that’s invading it.

  • I’d cite Islamist Turkey as the main enabler of ‘migration’ – letting the invaders travel from their coast to Greece. Turkey is Nato’s worst enemy.

  • john s

What utter crap. Are we pretending all the refugees are Syrian now? Last I checked there were a lot from Iraq and Afghanistan, Libya and Africa. Did the Russians cause those too? Come to think of it when did they start fishing folks out of the Mediterranean? Pretty sure it was before the Russians stepped in. Europe and the us made this mess, period.

  • barryjr

Another idiot from the American establishment proving his idiocy. Because of NATO’s allowing Turkey in this moron can’t criticize the real culprit. Get used to it people the USA is no longer the champion of freedom and Russia is about to take that role.

Doesn’t he know that Jeb! is out of the race?
Looks like the neocons think the same of us as the left.

Don’t forget, the Israelis let them use their top secret magical mind control beams to get Trudeay, Merkel, Cameron, and that cunt in Sweden to invite them.
So, the new “axis of evil” is Putin, Assad and Israel.
Insane statements like Phil’s are frightening.
