Trump Being Targeted for not Repudiating a Non-endorsement

Sunday, Donald Trump, who has always dismissed David Duke and his ilk, was asked a question about Duke’s endorsement of him and he said he needed to check on that. “I have to look at the group. I don’t know what group you’re talking about,” he told CNN. He claims a bad earpiece made him mishear the question and the result sounded as though he had to check on Duke himself.

David Duke denies ever endorsing Trump.

So in effect Trump’s being smeared for not repudiating a non-endorsement.

David Duke is a great example of why you should NEVER unquestionably accept the media left’s narrative about ANYTHING.
Dr. David Duke was a member of the KKK for precisely 6-years where HE SPENT HIS TIME ADVOCATING NON-VIOLENCE!
    Let that last part sink-in.

Nelson Mandella was a COMMUNIST almost his entire adult life, yet he never specifically renounced communism.
You never heard Nelson Mandella introduced as a communist, did you?
No, he was just this nice man whom those mean, white, apartheid-era, South Africans tossed into prison just because he was teaching black kids to read, or something.

Three former US Presidents were members of the KKK (Truman, Wilson, and ), all were Democrats.

Their narrative about people and events is almost always a lie.

    • This was a farcical attempt by a desperate media to trip up trump.

      • Concerned Canadian

Yes the media are hectoring Trump looking for a fault. However, Trump blew the response big time. He knows exactly who Duke is and what he represents. This is typical of Trump. Say anything that comes to mind at the time. Now however, the media and his rivals are pouncing on his utterances and not letting him just fluff it all off. He had better get used to being scrutinized to the 10th degree. The general election will be brutal.

He had already repudiated the false Duke “endorsement” twice before the Tapper interview including at the well-attended press conference where Christie really endorsed him.

          • Concerned Canadian

For sure. But Trump has a habit of saying different things at different times. Up to now, he has gotten away with it but now the scrunity has become more acute. You can bet your last dollar that the Democrats are building a library of his inconsistent declarations and will use them in the general election to hammer him.

Yet the same ones spouting this rubbish see no problem with black panthers or black lives matter. Even the old KKK was mild compared to the black racists.

    • Norman_In_New_York

This is so ridiculous that the public can easily see through the b.s.

      • kkruger71

The only ones that will see this as a big deal are the ones that already hate him.

    • Ho Hum

I agree. Also Robert Byrd was a member of the KKK far longer than Dr Duke (Byrd was even a member when he first entered congress). When Byrd died he was warmly eulogized by Barack Obama and Hitlary Clinton.

    • Ho Hum

I would add ” NEVER unquestionably accept the RIGHT media narrative about ANYTHING”

FOX news has been pushing the David Duke story as hard as the Clinton News Network. At the end of the day the establishment media has only one objective – elect the ESTABLISHMENT candidate. If Donald Trump gets the nomination you can expect FOX will do all it can to slyly undermine Trump so as to get Clinton elected. Rupert Murdoch knows Hitlary can be counted on to protect Wall street and pursue endless wars on behalf of the neocons.

  • The Butterfly

Don’t you remember how Donald Trump attended the church where David Duke was a pastor for over 20 years and had his children baptized there, and how he would often say how David Duke was like an uncle to him?

  • Morticiaa

I’d like to see a comment from Ali G (best highlight of the oscars) on this bs distorted while promoted news bite from the get Trump media

  • andycanuck

On a similar topic the Mussolini “quote” that Trump is a fascist for retweeting is actually an Italian saying from the WW1 Battle of Piave. It has nothing to do with Italian fascism even if it was requoted by Benito as a patriotic phrase.

The comedic underpinning is that they still think that if they repeat something often enough, and loud enough, they can breath life into it. The RNC may be panicking over Trump’s success but the MSM has completely lost it.

The interesting thing is the protesters at the Trump event had there fists in the air a Black Panthers symbol yet where is the outrage.
