Christian student kicked out by his university because he wrote Facebook messages opposing gay marriage

A Christian student has been ejected from his university course for voicing his opposition to gay marriage on Facebook.

Felix NgoleFelix Ngole, 38, was expelled from Sheffield University after faculty staff decided he ‘may have caused offence to some individuals’.

The postgraduate father of four, who was studying to become a social worker, has been told his actions affect his fitness to practise and was ordered to hand back his student ID and library card.

Mr Ngole was reported after using his private Facebook account to express support for Kim Davis, a county clerk from Kentucky, who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licences after the introduction of same-sex unions there last September

Please, tell me how these social justice fascists are any different than any other fascist?
At least the real Nazis had to ACT reasonable at first, but trust me when I say these bastards would do the exact same thing to any of us if they could function without limits.
They are itching to relight those ovens.

    • Academics were very eager supporters of Hitler.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Well, in all fairness many did support Stalin, so there was some actual diversity of opinion back then.
        The Stalinists won.

        • David Murrell

I like your use of the term “social justice fascist”. Very apt phrase to use.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Soon that phrase will be able to be shortened.

You can drop the F and still mean the same thing.

The left right divide was between communism and national socialism.
They fought over the same totalitarian space.
Over the years connotation of right wing has been corrupted.
Somehow the totalitarians conflate conservatives who favour small government and low taxes with fascism.
It’s frustrating to argue with these people because first I have to stake out the definition space before I can light into them with the truth.

Funny how the one’s screaming the most for diversity, exhibit the “least” diversity.

So when will Sheffield University eject leftist students who make
anti-Christian or anti-Israel/antisemitic remarks on Facebook? Never?
And what about feminist students kvetching about hetero males?
Will those sort of posts get those students expelled also?
It looks to me like it matters if some groups are offended, but others…
    not so much.

If SU isn’t applying their fascism equally, it’s possible that Mr. Nogole
may have good grounds to sue.

Note that he’s a person of colour. This is the kind of thing that makes SJW’s heads explode.

    • tom_billesley

He’s wearing a triggering symbol around his neck too.

Quick if he converts to Islam his Mo card can trump the gay fascists.

Am I going to be the first to ask why a postgraduate student of 38 in a useless unemployable subject has 4 kids and is in the country in the first place?

    • tom_billesley

He could have contributed to the diversity of some central or local government department, perhaps as a “diversity officer”, but Christian isn’t sufficiently diverse.

Trudeau is on a rampage to the excitement of the media, to waste government time and resources, on finding old gays that were convicted decades ago, and give them pardons. We can probably expect a thirty million dollar inquiry and public apology.

Why would anyone go to an institution that would behave like that? For 50 years we have been surrendering academia to the left. There is no point fighting it any more. Let them have it. Go find something else to do with your life.

I used to be of the opinion that we needed to fight this tooth and nail, but we are not going to win before the whole system collapses. Let the system collapse, then come back to the table.

    • Blacksmith

I feel the same way about society in general. It will be easier to pick up the pieces when all the leftist eat their own.

We have to gain control of the accreditation process.
Engineers for example are forced to take humanities courses that really do them no good.
The requirement exists solely for the parasite social science departments to feed on STEM.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

I think a classical liberal arts education does everyone some good, but indoctrination of white guilt, and ethnic and feminist grievances does great harm.
If we cannot straighten out that mess, and prevent it from reoccurring, then it does need to be done away with.
Until it’s fixed, it does need to be utterly supplanted, in its entirety.
Just close the whole damn departments for a few years. Scatter the faculty and department chairs to the four winds.

I don’t need to pay an English professor to instill in me an appreciation for Chaucer when I can find it ever more so easily on my own.
By the way, I think Shakespeare is a bit over rated.
To be or not to be?
          That is the question?
          Fuck off, mate.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Well, actually, do do a little bot. You can find out a bunch of stuff more quickly with someone that knows.
Shakespeare is more important than you might think, if for only the number of words he seems to have added to the English language.
His influence was pretty damn profound, even if you never read one of his plays.
If nothing else it gives you a greater appreciation for the vast amount of accomplished work that has made western civilization the greatest civilization that ever existed.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

I found Chaucer intensely more illuminating.
The vocabulary of Middle English is much more interesting to me.
My point, obliquely, was that paying for this education should be an option instead of a requirement to obtain a credential unrelated to the major discipline one studies.
I never objected to taking a course in report writing or ethics since they were practical and useful.
If you can’t pass a college course in ethics then maybe you are unemployable.
            Or a Clinton.

‘may have caused offence to some individuals’
Damn I am going to sue that university cause they offended me with that stupid statement. I didn’t know we had the right to not ever be offended. I should be retired by now as many times as I have been offended in my life.
