Poll: Most Texans want Muslims banned and illegals deported

A new poll conducted February 12-19 by the University of Texas and the Texas Tribune indicates that support for stricter immigration policies is hardening among voters in the Lone Star State.

Only 18% of respondents strongly agreed with the statement that newcomers from other countries enrich Texas with their hard work and values.  An equal proportion (16%) strongly disagreed.

Only 18% supporting immigrants is devastatingly bad, especially when you take into account that a few percent are illegals and Moslems. Generally, the batshit crazy liberal numbers run right around 23%.

I bet if you scratch the surface, you’ll find that most, if not all, of the supporters are transplanted Yankees and (I really hate to say it) ex-pat Canadians.

This is the movie Slacker from 1992.
That eighteen percent all live in Austin.

I used to live in Austin. Most of the hipsters I knew owned guns and rode motorcycles.

Pity. You’re probably right. Austin is probably the nicest and most livable city in Texas. If I ever make it back there, Austin is at or near the top of my list.

Its a good thing up here in Canada, we are tolerant of islamic terrorism, child abuse, goat screwing, and general mayhem. It enriches our cultural diversity. The Liberals have shown we peasants the true way.

Because of my work I have Facebook “friends” from all over the world, and I have constantly found that those from Texas are the least worried about appearances and are willing to say whatever they actually think, political correctness be damned. I’ve even linked a few of them over to this site to help them see the Canadian stories they just don’t see down there.

This why Donald Trump stands a pretty good chance of beating Ted Cruz in the latter’s home state.

its is shaping up to be a very entertaining fight.

  • I knew there was a reason why I liked Texas.
