The teenage wife of Sydney terrorism suspect Sameh Bayda has been arrested in a counter-terrorism investigation by NSW police.
Alo-Bridget Namoa, 18, is expected to be charged with recklessly possessing an item connected to a terrorist act and recklessly collecting documents connected to a terrorist act.
Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn said the charges relate to documents and items uncovered in January, and there is no new threat to the community.
It’s alleged police found a knife wrapped in a Shahada flag in Ms Namoa’s handbag last month. Her husband was allegedly found with several documents outlining how to make an improvised explosive device and carry out a stabbing.
