CNN Busted Attempting “Pre-Scripted Ambush” of Donald Trump During Live Town Hall Event…

CNN advertised their two night candidate Town Hall event series as an informal opportunity for ordinary South Carolinians to ask the republican presidential candidates’ questions.

However, when it came to the frontrunner, Donald Trump’s segment, there was nothing ordinary about at least one of the questioners, and absolutely nothing “random” about the combined intent.

Watched the video and I think the article overplayed the problem. Do I believe that the guest was chosen because he was against Trump? Yes. but their argument seems to hinge on Cooper having the Trump quote at the ready. I think it’s fair to say that a strong question about that quote would come up, and any reasonably smart host would have the quote on-hand knowing it would come up. There is almost a full minute between the questioner making it obvious where he was headed before Cooper read the quote off the card, a reasonable amount of time for him to have found it in his notes.

    • That is possible but the media is so anti-Trump I am not willing to give them them the benefit of the doubt.

We just lived through the exact same dishonest crap where short-pants was never asked a serious question. At the same time every attempt was made to put words in Harper’s mouth, words he never said.

Don’t get me wrong, CNN is out to get him. I just think with the obvious bias shown elsewhere it is bad strategy to go after cases where it’s not clear cut. When one of your arguments can be successfully argued it’s easier for people to dismiss any other ones you might make. Best to just stick to the clear and obvious ones.

I only read into that link until I realized it was Conservative Treehouse.

I always figured there was something off about those guys, but I didn’t get a fix on what it was until this election. Trump is not a Conservative and they’re so in the tank for him they’re gargling Trump.

They’ll cheap shot any actual Conservative. They pretty much curb stomp poor Ted Cruz with lying insults.

There’s nothing honest about their bias. They remind me a bit of that blog Little Green Footballs and the way they used to play at appearing conservative when they started out. They build up an audience then it turned out they were just another bunch of Progs.

That Chuck C Johnson guy does it too.

Out of the two other candidates last night and the three the night before this never happened once. This was an obvious ambush in the Megyn Kelly style. If I were Trump I would tell them to stick their town halls and debates.Enough already!!Meanwhile they ask Bush about his favorite music.Stevie Wonder could see through that crap.

    • It was a pretty sad effort.

By handling himself with aplomb, Trump snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. It also shows that he can argue reasonably and stick to the basic facts, which the two inquisitors could not contradict.

I agree. I love watching him talk rings around people. He’s like a boxer. They try to nail him, but he bobs, weaves, punches and jabs, and almost always comes out on top.

When truth and falsehood are entirely subject to personal emotive definition of the moment, then DonJohn should have no problems scoring points.
