‘Somali national’ Mohamed Barry ‘storms into Israeli-owned Ohio restaurant’ with a machete, injures 4

The FBI has joined the investigation into the machete-wielding man who stormed into an Ohio restaurant and attacked customers at dinner tables before being shot and killed by police.

Four people were injured in the attack at Nazareth Restaurant and Deli, a Mediterranean restaurant owned by an Israeli man in Columbus, on Thursday.

The victims were taken to an area hospital and are expected to recover, as the suspected attacker, Mohamed Barry, 30, was fatally shot by police.

There are reports that he was on an FBI terror watch list and may recently have traveled to Dubai. h/t marty_p

    • More votes for Trump.

    • Barry? Any relation to Obama?

  • Thermblog

RANDOM! He thought it was a deli.

    • Kathy Prendergast

Well, it was a deli. But of course there’s no way he could have known it was owned by an Israeli, or that delis are frequently places patronized and owned by persons of the Hebrew persuasion. Surely not! In fact, he probably didn’t even notice that it was full of ;people who weren’t Muslims. And he wasn’t actually shouting “Allahu akbar” when he waved the machete around…he was probably just a poor meth addict who was desperate for a sugar rush and was actually screaming, “Where’s the snackbar?” Nothing to do with him being a Muslim whatsoever, you nasty Islamophobic hatey-haters, you.

      • David Murrell

And since this was a Jewish deli, the crime was censored by the mefia cartel.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

This isolated incident should not be used in any way to paint the overwhelmingly vast majority of peaceful Muslims as anything other than peaceful.

    • Zaba

      Where are they again?

      • Drunk_by_Noon

They are out right now, but will be back soon.
        Would you care to wait?

        • Zaba

          Why not?
          Already been waiting since Khybar……

    – Cats land on their feet.
    – Toast lands butter down.

If you tied the two together, which way would they land?

    Here’s another brain teaser:
    – Knife-wielding Muslims are misunderstood individuals, and not at all representative of Islam’s peaceful culture. Media coverage will be scant, and nobody will ever speak of it again.
    – Gun-wielding whiteys are fueled by hatred, and are emblematic of America’s gun culture. It will receive 24/7 headlines, protest marches, and Presidential speeches.

If a muslim goes on a killing spree with a firearm, how does the narrative get spun?

    • Kathy Prendergast

It’s happened enough times already, and recently, in California and Paris…what happens is the mainstream media and the government ignore it as much as they can possibly get away with, so they can avoid having any narrative to have to spin in the first place.

Obviously , you people are not up on the rules of this Progressive New Society.

    Look at it this way.
A Jew ,has the bloody nerve to open a restaurant and make it a success. This does not make for good optics .
To top off the INSULT —this ‘agitator’ called it the Nazareth Restaurant.

Is it any wonder that Somalians go crazy?

    • Norman_In_New_York

The restaurant owner may be an Israeli, but he is not a Jew.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

        Maybe he’s a Scooby Jew.

  • Dana Garcia

Columbus is second only to Minneapolis-St.Paul for Somali diversity. A recent article says 45,000 so there’s probably a lot more.

    another bitter clinger…

    • Zaba

Bitter Clinger to islam’s ‘most perfect human ever’.

  • I read in ArutzSheva that the owner was an Israeli Christian Arab, not a Jew. The Muslim perpetrator assumed from the Israeli adjective that he was a Jew.

    • The place is named “Nazareth Mediterranean Cuisine”, which might have tipped him off. But I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that Mr Barry wasn’t what you’d call a rocket surgeon.
