UKIP States The Obvious – Usual Suspects Outraged

Ofcom considers investigation into Ukip broadcast after 31 complaints

Ofcom is considering more than 30 complaints about Ukip’s party political broadcast on ITV and the BBC in relation to racial offence, Islamophobia and bias against Turkey.

The regulator said it was looking at whether to launch an investigation into the four-minute broadcast on Wednesday night which urged people to vote to exit the EU because Turkey could join. The broadcast highlighted Turkey’s Muslim population and claimed that up to 15 million Turkish citizens could migrate.

Telling the truth has become a revolutionary act, in England.

    • Pity.

They have constitutional no bill of rights that means anything.
They have a series of laws, passed based based on current fashion, that means no more than the “rights” offered to the citizens of the Soviet Union.
Essentially the people in the UK have nothing, so anything can be criminalized.

Whatever speech/actions that go against the entrenched financial interests of a tiny minority will be portrayed as racist.

Anything short of celebrating your dispossession/extinction is now considered suspect.

And I’m not sure having a bill of rights is such an ironclad guarantee of free speech these days

Brits have already been disarmed, so little risk of comeback.

Yes, and it is the same throughout the West. Even the United States are getting on the wagon, just not yet as far as others.

Ofcom should be burned to the ground.

They’re instrumental in lawfare by proxy, like OHRC.

I remember, in the U.K., as a very small child, dressed in red, white and blue, watching the Coronation of Lizzy II, with the marching bands on my home town main street, followed by ranks of proud, decorated WW I & II Vets with their heads held high for the crowds of decent, proud, fiercely nationalistic British white folks lining the streets.
The only one left there now is my brother. I hope he outlives me so I won’t have to go back to what has become a cloistered, paranoid Third World Orwellian hell hole for his funeral. Each time I have returned there, it has disgusted me more and more.
I am watching the slowly unfolding ruination of Europe with the detached amusement of somebody watching a hockey fight.
