ISIS troops

Saudi official says kingdom ready to send troops to fight ISIS because airstrikes alone ‘will not defeat’ evil militants

Saudi Arabia is ready to send ground troops into Syria to fight ISIS because airstrikes alone will fail to defeat the evil militants.

Brigadier General Ahmed Asiri said Saudi Arabia was now in a position to supplement its airstrikes with ‘boots on the ground’ as the battle against the extremists steps up a gear.

The oil-rich kingdom has been taking part in the airstrikes since the U.S.-led campaign began in September 2014, but Asiri has said he believes ‘alone [they] are not the perfect solution’.

And just whose troops are the Saudis sending?

    • Justin St.Denis

      Good one!

  • Shebel

Any chance that they will attack the Rapeagees?

  • luna

Saudi Arabia wants to oust Assad & Turkey wants to crush the Kurds, neither wants to fight ISIS.

The non-wahhabist terrorists are horning in on the Kingdom’s racket, stealing their thunder.

Guess we’ll see if they are as cowardly as their Ay-rab bretheren in Iraq and Syria

Just had business dealings with Yank whose son is logistics big shot for USMC in Saud and Iraq.
The drone thing is awesome and only just being opened up for general consumption by the bad guys.
Handheld launched drones that paint you and come back in hours or days to ferret you out wherever you are and terminate. They whistle as they’re coming in and snap a foto of your mug at the last moment. They have a wall of shame of perplexed faces(600) taking their last look skyward.
Seems like a good fit with the robotics automation revolution coming down the pike.

And no moving armies across half the earth…..must look into the investment potential of this growing industry.

    fund them and fight them

  • Shebel

If I was the KING of a KINGDOM that had a coupla thousand Princes—- that bled all the loot out of their Country—-
I might just be a wee bit worried over ISIS.

  • Barrington Minge

Good grief!. The Soddy Barbarians are actually going to do something?
I smell double standards given that they are tacitly funding the militants….

    • Justin St.Denis

Harrington, not to worry. The Saudi record of military ineffectiveness will not be tarnished. Google to watch Saudi military parades. Absolutely hilarious! The only thing Saudis have besides money is a bottomless well of cowardice which informs the entire Saudi culture, such as it is.

      • Barrington Minge

Agreed. Is this cowardice a mooslim thing?

  • Spatchcocked

These clowns are the product of a decadent society. They couldn’t invade and quell a disturbance at an elementary school PTA meeting.

Saudi Arabia has recently acquired “advanced” weaponry from the west. They’ve already put some of it to use indiscriminately in Yemen.

    • Justin St.Denis

      Bingo!

The Greeks fucked it up royally in 1919/22 and the Battle of Smyrna. I can’t imagine them wanting to revisit the whole affair…

And Hagia Sophia holds first Mass in nearly 600 years….yours truly lustily singing Hosannas in the choir…

Instead of evil militants call them Jihadists, because Jihad is in the Koran and everyone ought to know that both sides follow some if not all of it’s teachings. Calling them evil militants makes them appear more human and less animal. (evil militants is the kettle calling the pot black)

    • Justin St.Denis

That expression (pot kettle Black) is ripe for retirement.

      • level of Consciousness

Sometimes I feel old and ripe for retirement.

My wife and I spent the first week, of a planned five week stay, at a seniors residnce, three blocks away from a cancer care center where I have been receiving radiation treatnent. So my wife and I, in our 60s, have been living with 80 and 90 year olds. Must say it is strange experience. Most conversations revolve around the weather. Everyone is nice to each other though.

This whole militant Muslim supremacist on militant Muslim supremacist jousting feels like it can be diagnosed as multiple personality disorder. They, as with the entirety of the OIC, represent one body at war with free people.
