Brent Hawkes, Toronto pastor, charged with sex assault in Nova Scotia
A prominent pastor in Toronto, Brent Hawkes, has been charged with a historical sex assault in Nova Scotia, Hawkes’ lawyer Clayton Ruby confirmed to CBC News.
Ruby said Hawkes has been charged with indecent assault and gross indecency in Kings County in a historical sexual assault.
The 65-year-old is well-known for giving the eulogy for the former New Democratic Party leader Jack Layton at his funeral.
This is the 2nd alleged sex offender who is a confidant of Kathleen Wynne.
