CBC Celebrity Jian Ghomeshi gets his day in court tomorrow

Former CBC Radio star Jian Ghomeshi has arguably been tried in the public forum for months, but when he appears in court tomorrow, the judge will focus on only one thing: The evidence presented in court.

Ghomeshi, 48, who lives in Toronto, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault and one count of overcoming resistance by choking. His trial in Ontario Court will be presided over by Judge William Horkins.

Rumor has it that Ghomeshi’s teddy bear will be summoned to testify for the prosecution…

I wonder if Justin just held it in his mouth?
    I mean the joint smoke.

The case may depend on this quote from the article:
‘The CBC fired Ghomeshi on Oct. 26, 2014, days after two executives were shown graphic evidence the radio host had physically injured a woman. Ghomeshi had shown them material to prove everything he was being accused of by a “jilted ex girlfriend” was consensual.’

no matter the outcome he is finished, he will be kryptonite to even the staunchest progressive ,(if there has ever been such an animal)

“trial in Ontario Court will be presided over by Judge William Horkins.”

Why not just let him walk now & waste the taxpayers a few dollars?

Judges, lawyers and cops don’t give a rat’s ass about victims. Victims are simply annoyances that don’t quite fit into …”the system” that they believe works so well.

—Judges are bunch pf pompous, elitist bloviating fucks who are so lost in thier legal dreamworlds and their own self importance that that any concern for victims must always come second to whatever insane decision they deem “fair” this week.

—Lawyers are slimebag weasels who cannot relate to anyone with a real job. They would sell their own grandmother to slavery to pay for their BMWs.

—Cops can’t stand victims. More work for them. Victims shoild give their statements then STFU and disappear. The cop has gotten to play the big tough hero and strut around in his uniform, the paperwork has been filed now it’s off to the bar or donut shop to sit on their ass.

OOps — should read …”& *NOT* waste taxpayers dollars”

I have a theory that the best time to commit a crime is just before a shift change.
I used to drive around a lot at night.
Around eleven or so you’d often see the cops headed back to the station at high speed.
They’d put on their lights for a few seconds to blow through red lights

      • G

Red lights, are for thee, not me

(so is drinking and driving, speeding, assault, threatening people ect ect ect. ect ect)

Bureaucrats with guns – bad combination.

      • V10_Rob

Seen the same on occasion with ambulance drivers.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

Yeah, but you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

          • V10_Rob

When they kill the lights and siren a block from the hospital and pull into their garage annex (not the emergency entrance)?

          • G

VR10 Rob is unfortunarely right d.d.r.

I live a block away from an EMT/Fire station and I’ve seen it countless times. There simply CAN’T be that many calls that were “suddenly canceled”.

Being a big hero in a uniform means you are above the petty annoyances that the little people must deal with.

      • Clausewitz

Up in Bancroft the ideal time to commit a crime was when they put the day old doughnuts on sale at the local bakery.

        • Raymond Hietapakka

…over in N.Minnesota, there’s a cop they called “Sunshine”, an F.B.I.(f***ing big indian). How did he get the nick “Sunshine”? He was always arriving after the storm was over….

Get out the popcorn!! I can’t wait to see what shoes his lawyer will be wearing. IMO, she will be the star of this circus and Teddy will be banished to the corner. Ms. Heinen is one sharp cookie. Remember what she said at the Bar Association dinner (before Ghomeshi hired her) — that Jian considers battery as foreplay. Priceless. Expect more Heinensims to be forthcoming, especially now that she’s defending the creep.

    • V10_Rob

I dunno, I get the feeling this will get far less coverage than, oh, say, the Mike Duffy trial.

Then again, there’s nothing the media loves to talk about more than themselves.

      • Waffle

Maybe, but Marie is a hell of a lot more photogenic than Duffy will ever be. Also, the feminazis will be watching with eagle eyes to see how she handles the victims, Will she or won’t she betray the sisterhood? It’s a knuckle-biter.

Why are there so many pictures of Junior posing with slimeballs?

Birds of a feather is my thought.

Again I’m reminded what a thoroughly useless circle jerking nepotistic cess pit of circle jerking politically correct talentless amateurish tyro third rate unsophisticated amoral arrogant narcissistic omphaloskinepsisist? parasitical wannabe movie stars bums the CBC employees are.

And here is Ghomeshi’s defense argument.

  • Brett_McS

What are the odds he ‘converts’ to Islam and claims it’s his culture?

    • Observer

He doesn’t need to convert. He was born in London England, to two Iranian Shia Mulsim parents.
