FBI releases video of Oregon occupier’s shooting death

The FBI released video Thursday that shows law enforcement during a traffic stop this week fatally shooting of one of the armed men who occupied an Oregon wildlife refuge.

In the video, Robert “LaVoy” Finicum, 55, drives a white truck into a snowdrift, nearly striking a law enforcement officer. He gets out of the vehicle and can be seen lifting his hands in the air and then lowering them toward his body before at least one Oregon State Police officer shoots him.

Finicum had a loaded 9-millimeter handgun in his pocket, an FBI official said.

The FBI and RCMP are in a competition for lowest credibility.

I don’t quite understand this. It would appear that the driver stopped the white vehicle and stayed at the wheel. I guess I would considering it’s pretty cold out there. No one seems to approach the vehicle.

After about 5 minutes of inaction the driver appears to have had enough and the white vehicle moves off. The road block seems to be invisible until you get close to it and, considering the conditions, the driver does a good job of stopping and avoiding hitting anyone or anything by driving into the snow drift. I see no evidence of aiming the vehicle at anyone.

He then comes out into the snow drift with his hands approximately at shoulder height. Since he is walking in a snow drift he is stumbling and has to use his arms to stop himself falling over. This is taken as evidence that he had aggressive intent and he is shot by someone invisible to him (directly behind). It is claimed he had a 9 mm handgun in his pocket. How did they know? Nobody seems to care enough to check whether he is dead or wounded. Nobody appears to approach the body up to the end.

    • Your observations are correct. In fact if Police stop your vehicle you are advised not to exit the vehicle unless the cops tell you to. I think the guy just got frustrated waiting.

        Exactly my conclusions.

Cops just kill everybody now, eh.

What’s the next step? They run out of ammunition and seize it from the public??

Am I right in thinking the second amendment talks about the right to bear ARMS. No mention of ammo. Surprised POTUS isn’t already acting on this.
Doesn’t he “think of the children” and their children’s children?
