Stuff not to believe: that Americans are “tired of elites”

As columnist Michael Barone thinks. From Barone:

In a press conference earlier this month Philadelphia police officials described how a Muslim dressed in a white religious robe fired multiple rounds at a police officer, “in the name of Islam,” as he said after his arrest. You could see it on videotape.

At which point Philadelphia Mayor James Kenney proclaimed, “In no way, shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen.”

How stupid and vicious does he think we are? More.

Reality check: Stupid and vicious enough, Barone, that he still had a job. And thousands like him.

They’re not wrong. We are, if we don’t see what it all means: Government no longer cares to protect citizens and doesn’t need to.

When welfare gets the popular vote, indulging the fashionable beliefs of the elite, however fantastic they are, becomes a greater priority than public safety. Between elections the welfare vote is expendable. More such voters reach voting age every year anyway.

  • Islam is the biggest (can’t talk about it) issue in the election.

Every time I hear another politician or newsperson white wash the “Islamic cult” I want to vomit.

Every time these PC wonks ignore Islamic reality, they create another vote for Trump and Islamic reality.

Every Islamic terror attack will make the democrats look like fools.
