Hope it wasn’t too much trouble for one of those douchebags to call 911.

    • That was a brutal hit.

    • Brett_McS

Because of American TV some Australian teens have been found to believe that the emergency number is 911. It’s 000 in Australia, and 999 in the UK.

      • Clink9

Didn’t look like anyone knew the number. Just wandering around like a piece of garbage was run over. Kinda like China.

You forgot the Kiwi’s bro! 111. No wonder every single MoFo gets it wrong!

I suspect that the Sussex Plod are really after old mate who picked up the vic’s wallet on the left-hand side of the road, as the video cut out when he approached the “body”.

I suspect that he didn’t quite respectfully lay down the wallet, and instead started going through the vic’s pockets to see whatever else he could filtch. No video of the actual crime, funnily enough!

The traditional Brits are the most polite and pedestrian-friendly drivers anywhere. My guess would be that some ‘new arrival’ is enriching the streets with diversity.

    • Me thinks so.

    • Millie_Woods

      It looked deliberate.

      • Brett_McS

Hard to see how it could have been planned. The Fiat came sweeping around a corner.

        • Millie_Woods

Looked like the driver was accelerating as the car hit the guy. And he didn’t stop after. Did his brake lights come on? I didn’t notice. Sudden jihad syndrome?

            An islamic flashback?

        • V10_Rob

The thing that stood out for me was how the driver showed no reaction before or after.

Before the hit there’s no automotive ‘flinch’; no swerve, no change in speed, no tapping of the brakes. OK, so maybe the driver was going too fast to see the victim in time, or had his eyes on his Facebook app. But there’s no sign the impact startled the driver. Didn’t stop or slow after the hit, didn’t jerk the wheel or hit the brakes momentarily, no ‘Oh shit!’ moment that any driver new or old would react to, nor did the driver seem to speed up to race away.

          I see three scenarios.
          1) Driver was impaired in some way.
          2) Driver was thoroughly distracted (headphones in while texting or something).
          3) Something more sinister, as some here are implying. Did the driver plan to hit this particular man? Probably not. Was he driving aggressively and deliberately, looking for someone to step out? Conceivably.

But if you’ve come down with jihad fever and want to randomly run over some infidels, why not wait until you see a crowded sidewalk and swerve into them?

What, you don’t think the driving instruction and testing in the Islamic State is up to British standards (you filthy disgusting racist)?
