I guess that explains why I stared at that poster for a solid few moments and still spotted nothing wrong.
Atleast they were not using the Roman salute.
    That would have been awkward.

    • Good thinkin;)

I read that panel that you posted and agree without even the slightest thought of irony.

There was this story of a Marine officer who was punishing an enlisted subordinate who failed to salute him and was making the enlisted soldier repeatedly salute him 100 times until he got the point.

General “Chesty” Puller (it’s always Chesty Puller in these stories) notices this corrective measure in action and asks the officer what he’s doing. The officer explains the situation and the General agrees with the provision that every salute given by the Marine must be also returned by his officer, and then stands there and watches the officer return every salute.

        • Interesting, maybe apocryphal.

          • Interesting history. I like the old British open palm salute — it says: you better salute back or you might get a slap-down! (to DbN’s story).

In Canada, we salute the Queen’s commission of the officer, not the man.

That poor woman must be exhausted being a member of so many organizations.

    • Nope, it’s the famous Dionne quintuplets.

        But. But.
Shouldn’t they be wearing identical pinafores?

Didn’t know about the salute, but the thing that jumped out at me was the inclusion of Rosie the Riverter. Although Canadian women were vital in performing jobs usually done by men, our “Rosies” never attained the iconic status that the American women did. Or am I wrong?

      Ronnie the Bren Gun builder!!

This is the same org, of course, that will drone on ad infinitum about their mandate to inform us about Canada’s military history…while they spend tax dollars on exhibits of Roman Gladiators!!

  • Doug Kursk

Ok..one last comment..what’s with the hair on Mr. Historically correct’s wife, and that ‘salute’ she’s attempting…yikes!!

    • Mickey Oberman

      Talking of the salute.
      That hand looks very masculine.

      • simus1

The whole effort lacks the authentic up front in your face Stalin worshiping oeuvre so beloved by Canada’s government employed artistic “anti fascists” of that era and for many decades to come.

      • Shebel

All the hands look masculine . They are big ,ugly and hairy.

The woman that’s 5th from the left has a Russian Commie hat on. The rest of them are the good guys. The Leftie prick that produced that picture knew full-well what he was doing.
