The Social Justice Nazis will not rest until every commanding officer in the military is one of them.

So we will have huMANs and perSONnel?

Language reveals a lot when you look.

I am told that this plan is meeting with limited enthusiasm within the Corps.

If it looks like Trump could win, I half expect some big(er) military moves by the BRICs, maybe even a full blown one, while the getting is this good. Serious question: has US military leadership ever been this mentally defective before?

This is at the extreme end of the D.O.D. and not even the generals support most of this nonsense.
They will put it in effect on paper, but keep the existing system.
If Trump or Cruz is elected, then all this will just go away and be forgotten.
If Hillary is elected, then expect mass officer resignations and some constitutional crisis in our future.
It will be interesting to see what happens when America’s armed forces become “politically unreliable” yet maintain popular support.
        Fun times!

The house purchase rumour appears to have originated in the government offices on the west side of Red Square.

They’ve been working down the list of the brass for years, sacking and blackballing anyone that hesitates getting with the program.

Something similar was suggested at Maritime Command in the late Nineties. Navy personal of both sexes decided to ignore the suggestion: thus the RCN has Able Seamen, Leading Seamen, and Master Seamen still.

“Man” purged from the Navy and the Marines? It’s already been purged from the White House.

It’s clear men are no longer wanted in the armed forces. They should stop enlisting. I suspect a lot of men who might have enlisted thought twice about it and decided not to. This is one of the reasons that that they need to enlist women. Not enough men want to enlist anymore.

I spent nearly twenty years in uniform between the regular army and the reserves. My reserve time was in the combat arms (armour) and my regular service was in service support (RCEME). In my experience women make barely adequate soldiers, and that was in service support, not combat arms. I could tell tons of stories about this but I won’t.

If I new then what I know now, and if the forces then were like they are now, I wouldn’t enlist. Men still have a moral duty to defend their communities. I think in the future this role will be fulfilled by some sort of local defence volunteer groups, since our own states are more likely to be the enemy than some foreign national government. This is what The English Defence League, and PEGIDA will likely morph into.
