“If Wile E. Coyote were to glue together a society using nothing but ethyl alcohol and 19th century folk wisdom, the resulting country would be indistinguishable from Russia, except maybe it would be safer.”

Perhaps the women of Cologne might find him useful?

  • Miss Trixie

I don’t understand. Ramparts? Shouldn’t that just be Rampart? What does “Head Read” mean? I don’t get it.

    • andycanuck

I can’t watch the video so I don’t know exactly what your questions are referencing but it’s from an old TV series… (that you might already know!)
      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068067/

I seem to recall them calling the hospital “Ramparts” in the show too but it was a long time ago. I know I liked it and Adam-12. 🙂

    • ntt1

Its from an old hospital/cop drama called Emergency. ramparts is the name of the emergency department communications switch board(very old technology) Julie London the singer plays the MILF head nurse in the ER

          • Drunk_by_Noon

The funny thing is that she was likely not over 35 too!

          • ntt1

Its a matter of relative age at the time this was just after Jenny Agutter’s topless appearance in Romeo and Juliet had entire guidance classes taken to theatres to view the epic, forced into premature puberty

          • mauser 98

            Bhaa…

        • Drunk_by_Noon

Likely she was, but I don’t know for sure. Early 1970’s being what it was.
          Yeah, that’s and “Emergency” reference.
They broadcast that series in Canada?

“Rampart” division is one of the L.A.P.D. area of operations. They had many of them like “Newton”, “Centeral” and others.

The term ramparts goes back to the early battles where a Fort would build a 2 meter tall sand wall around it that was sloped and about 2 meter wide on the top area.
The enemy was forced to caught on the rampart ledge with no cover , plus if they were injured inside the rampart area they would find it tough to climb up the slope while bleeding and being a target .

Check out a photo from the Fort York in Toronto that has the sand wall at the outer edge.

  • It looks like two petty thugs forced their presence on the female hospital staff, one of them being sick was being looked at while the other stood at the door. Meanwhile, a male doctor or nurse was called to the rescue, and came in to bring order. The door thug attacked him, so he hit him, and then he hit the sick thug who was protesting and knocked him out good or killed him. All quite justified.

That is how they learn to behave, or the survivors do anyway.

That’s one way to deal with overcrowding in our health care system; we need doctors like that in Ontario.

    • tom_billesley

      Dignitas with no drugs.

    • mauser 98

my doctor told me 90% of his patient visits are fraud
      a social call
should be a 10$ fee to walk in

      • Doctors shamelessly pad their bills.

        • mauser 98

i blame the system , corrupt government far more than the doctors

        • mauser 98

          i have been very fortunate
have had only good medical care here so far..knock on wood
          others not so

      • Clink9

I hate it when I bring our kids in to emerge for a broken bone or something and you have to wait all night with the wieners that need a hug.

        • mauser 98

          …been there
emergency wait times are torture .. no excuse for it.
i know why… Wynnes way of telling us to pay more tax ..torture / extortion rackett
Wynne continues to piss $$billions away and her voters still cheer

    • Gary

Don’t give Wynne any ideas because she already wants the elderly and sick to kill them self which will free up money for the refugees and 300,000 illegals in Toronto that now get free health care.

  • andycanuck

    Dr Gregory House is Russian?
