Twitter is a digital medium; no one can reach out from the screen and upset someone’s coffee onto their lap. For that very reason, claims about “violence,” “attack,” or “threat” may be entirely metaphorical, yet potent, especially when the target is not Cool.
Please, it doesn’t need to make sense. It just needs to make a member of a favoured identity group feel better.

Reality check: Increasingly, if you are not in high tech or a ‘crat or an adult dependent, you don’t count. You better not express opinions about what they do or expect their identity group power plays to make sense.
