PM Useful Idiot restoring lax refugee system

Ten years ago, Canada’s immigration system was broken.

It enabled fraudsters, made our country vulnerable to security threats and put special interests ahead of taxpayers.

Thanks to years of hard work and targeted reforms by the Harper Conservatives, however, Canada’s immigration system became the envy of the world.

CNN host and former Time Magazine editor-at-large Fareed Zakaria took notice, and dedicated a show to exploring Canada’s immigration reforms in 2012.

On Twitter, Zakaria said that, “Canada has the most successful set of immigration policies in the world.”

Unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, the Trudeau government has already begun to undo some of Harper’s best work on immigration.

    Thanks, Omar. Thanks, Justin.

A white mother and her son who has serious health issues has been stuck 18 months in a Ottawa motel waiting for social housing yet refugees that did arrive last week have there new home.

    • Ottawa Eyes

The city owned Toronto Community Housing Corporation tells Canadians there is a 10 to 12 year waiting list for public housing, but if you are a refugee or immigrant you go to the front of the very front of the list for vacancies.

      • Brett_McS

But Canadians don’t riot at the drop of a hat.

They’re being given condos in Vancouver.

Developers and rich property owners are coming out of the woodwork
in BC to hook them up knowing full well the government will foot the bill
      for any costs they demand.

      • Brian Jones

Probably helps solve that pesky problem where the developers are overbuilding. Even with idle rich from Hong Kong buying Vancouver condos on a whim and only showing up for a couple weeks a year, there’s still a whole lot of overpriced condos sitting empty.

If they can get the taxpayers to buy them out, they win. Bonus points for appearing to care about those poor refujihadis.

Of course Labor did the same in Australia: dismantled the successful ‘Pacific Solution’ introduced by John Howard. Interestingly it was old Labour (note the ‘u’) that introduced the White Australia policy, which was only canned in the ’60s … by the conservative government. However, Labor is now the party of the inner city latte set. As with the Democrats in the US and the Liberals in Canada, they have opened up the opportunity for a conservative party to appeal to the much maligned ‘white working man’, if they will take it.

  • Dana Garcia

Wait, praise from diversity hack Zakaria is considered a plus?

    I wouldn’t think so.

    • Physics grad

yes I agree, but it is a clear indicator of how radically left wing the treasonous Turdeau is

  • Alain

I disagree that the reforms made by the Conservatives made our immigration system “the envy of the world”, although they were an improvement. The Conservatives did nothing to end “family reunification” or to restrict it to one spouse and dependent children. The not only did not decrease the number but increased it. The most important is that they did not act to halt Muslim immigration. That they were not as bad as the Liberals (most of us knew that as a given) does not merit them praise as far as I am concerned.

On a further note concerning short-pants Trudeau, he stated in an interview that we would not bomb ISIS even if they attacked us.

    • Etobicoke_Gladiator

Hear, hear. Re: Trudeau, he is unbearable in numerous ways. Entertaining at times, yet nonetheless unbearable.

      • Physics grad

entertaining, like a case of syphilis

        • Etobicoke_Gladiator

As the old (and tasteless) joke goes: I’d use a condom if it didn’t hurt the sores on my co*k too much. That’s how I feel about seeing or listening to J. Trudeau.

    • Physics grad

yes yes, but that is not the point. the system was fair and admired according to hard left propagandists around the globe, like CNN, and yet it was still to “right wing” for that asshole Turdeau.

In truly hope he trips on some stairs and breaks his bloody stupid neck

    • Waffle

Alain, while all that is true, unfortunately, the Harper Conservatives had a Sisyphean task right from the beginning, the very first of which was uniting with the so-called Red Tories and trying to build some kind of cohesive party. They were constantly accused of a “hidden agenda” by the whores in the MSM who had long sold their souls and wouldn’t know real journalism if it jumped up and hit them on their brainless heads. And last, but certainly not least, we can thank our neighbours, our coworkers, our friends and our families for thoughtlessly sucking in the lies, half-truths and distortions spun by the MSM because they wanted to be considered nice, reasonable folk, not xenophobic racists. So please, no more talk about blaming Harper et al for failing to act in a dictatorial fashion.

Now that we’ve got the real McCoy, ask these nice, reasonable folk what they plan to do about it.

      • moraywatson

        80,000 ups

      • Alain

You are correct about the MSM, and I think most of us know that no matter what the Conservatives did the MSM would twist it into a very negative light. That was a given. I was not suggesting that Harper act in a dictatorial fashion, but his incrementalist approach was a serious mistake once he had a majority. Again even then he was constantly being accused of acting like a dictator. He was even called another Hitler in spite of everything. The truth remains that the media run by the Left will never ever present anything positive about politicians who reject their narrative and agenda.

Speaking of said media Harper failed again by not selling off the CBC and dismantling the CRTC. The CRTC plays a major role in ensuring that only leftist networks can exist in Canada and therefore that there is no competition for leftist views and opinions.

Of course none of this matters any more as it is past history. Unfortunately it seems the CPC is now determined to commit suicide by going Left. Sad since they had their chance, an excellent one at that, and for the most part blew it.

        • Waffle

Again, all true. Poor bastard was (poor us) was trapped between a rock and a hard place. Sometimes the whole, awful scenario has to be play itself out and there’s not a g-d thing we can do about it. The deck was stacked long before Steve ever arrived on the scene. Considering the odds, he did an absolutely incredible job and I will always love him for it. I ‘coulda, wouda, shouda” myself all the time. Waste of time.

(Now, if you really want to place blame, I think you should strongly consider Lithpy Lethter — ever wonder why his wife drank?)

          • disqusW6sf

“Lithpy Lethter” – Lester Pearson? Lol. My father would have loved this blog.

    • Observer

We need to be telling the Conservatives NOW and continuously for the next 4 years that we need to tighten up and enforce sedition laws.

Turdeau and his Lieberals will make a mess of Canada over the next 4 years.

The Conservatives need to be hit over the head over their pro-immigration
programs like the “Temporary” Foreign Workers, so that they will know that if they want to stay in power next time they will have to put Canadians first and foremost in all their policies.

      • Etobicoke_Gladiator

Trudeau is Canada’s answer to Obama, no doubt. During his tenure he will, similarly to the Manchurian imam down south, do irreversible long term damage. *sigh*

        • Alain

I have maintained that from the start. Short-pants Trudeau was chosen and backed by the same ones as Obama.

          • Waffle

    • Rosenmops

So if Canada is attacked by ISIS this dimwitted POS has no plans to defend the country. Isn’t that some sort of treason?

  • Physics grad

Turdeau needs to be overthrown. Canada needs a coup and a civil war.

    • Clausewitz

Canadians are by and large just too passive. Want to piss them off to the point of revolution? Find some way to take out Hockey Night in Canada.

Well one group won’t be welcomed to Canada by “Sunny Ways” Trudeau. Christians can forget coming here. Remember he gave orders that helping Christians first is disgusting.

“Hey, I was elected by dumb broads, and my research showed me that dumb broads are into that 50 Shades of Grey book, and they keep yappin’ about ‘rape culture,’ so I figured I’d better give ’em what they want, right?”
