US Criminalizing Free Speech?

Eighty-two leading Democrats have cosponsored a House Resolution (H.Res. 569) “Condemning violence, bigotry, and hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States”.

The Resolution was introduced in the House of Representatives by Democrat Donald S. Beyer (Virginia) on December 17, 2015 — a mere 15 days after Tashfeen Malik and Syed Farook gunned down 14 innocent Americans and wounded 23 in an ISIS-inspired terror attack at a Christmas party in San Bernardino, California.

The House Resolution states, “the victims of anti-Muslim hate crimes and rhetoric have faced physical, verbal, and emotional abuse because they were Muslim or believed to be Muslim,” and the House of Representatives “expresses its condolences for the victims of anti-Muslim hate crimes.”

What victims?

I think this house resolution is mostly a way to go after trump.

The First Amendment and the Nineteenth Amendment are incompatible. Luckily we still have a solution in the Second Amendment.

Her family name must be preceded by a “trigger warning” before being pronounced aloud on many US campuses these days. Many “snowflakes” – black American snowflakes in particular – find the AG’s name makes them feel unsafe, scared, frightened, intimidated and wanting to RIOT, STEAL and PILLAGE from whitey.

          Go figure.

I welcome this accelerated despotism. People have revolted over far less than the erosions of the past decade and a half.

Why does practically every politician fall over themselves to kiss Muslims’ ass, even in countries where they represent an insignificant portion of the population, such as the US? What is so damn special about Islam that they are willing to trample all over free speech and native citizens for it? Is it the oil money? I just don’t get it ….

    • Brett_McS

      It’s a good question.
      1. Oil, yes
      2. Investment of oil money
      3. Fear of being called names (buying into leftist narrative)
      4. Fear of terrorism being blamed on their ‘incitement’.
      5. ???

  • Norman_In_New_York

    1. The last I heard, the Democrats are a minority in the House and the Republicans haven’t begun to push back, such as condemnations of antisemitism, which is far more prevalent.

    2. A resolution is not a law, only an expression of opinion. Opinions are like assholes – every Congressman has one.

Lynch looks like she’s morphing into Al Sharpton…

    • John

As did Bruce, so does Al.

    • Gary

Obama now has his ‘ Lynch-Mobs ‘ that will appease the islamists because the Thought-Control will stop the truth from getting out about the death-cult sect of islam.

It’s amazing because 14 people were slaughtered by 2 devout MUSLIM’S just last month and now Obama sees Muslims as the Victims??

Charges Against ‘New Black Panthers’ Dropped by Obama Justice Dept.”Prosecutors also say he “supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews.”
