Armed Protesters Occupy Building on Oregon Wildlife Refuge

Several armed men have occupied a building on an Oregon wildlife refuge, protesting the prison terms of two ranchers convicted of arson on public lands.

The Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, OR—one of the more remote federal outposts in the country—was the destination of a march supporting Dwight and Steven Hammond, two ranchers who claim the government is persecuting them because they wouldn’t sell their land. The two men face 5 years in prison.

The number one reason why Americans should never lose the right to own a firearm, it keeps dictators like Obama in check.

God Bless them. This is what the second amendment is all about. The government oversteps is original mandate every day. It’s high time they were contained by the people.

Maybe white people are _finally_ learning that, in the Brave New World of post-1960s America, if your group is not willing to riot, it shall be forced to scrounge for the crumbs that fall from the king’s table. (And, to add insult to injury, your group is having its pockets picked to pay for the fatted calf and sundry dainties being served to the favored groups that get to sit at the king’s table.)

The comments from progs in various articles about this situation are dominated by bloodlust, as in kill them all. We’re past the politics of discourse. We’re at war.

I’ve noticed a yuge surge in violent rhetoric since Trump became a threat to their way of life.

I haven’t noticed a correlation but that doesn’t mean its not there. Panic might be setting in since the MSM has not been able to make a dent in Trump.

Montel Williams is TOTALLY AGAINST gun violence. He just wants every patriot and all their children shot dead:

Couldn’t help but notice that the photo accompanying the article shows the use of American flags. That proves just how racist & hateful these people are. America was built on racism & violence & will continue to until fair skinned people get their privilege in line. (sarc.)

“Law enforcement agencies announce no plans to tackle Oregon militia”

    Aww come on. Start something.
Let’s get this crap out in the open. I would LOVE to see the way the local law enforcement acts in this situation.

Deputy Smith and municipal constable Jones, are you going to arrest your sister’s husband or your elementary school friend or are you going follow the elitist orders of some asshole judge 200 miles away?
Big choice buddy. — Choose carefully.

“But he announced no definitive plans to handle the hordes of wannabe minutemen.”

I love how the story is written. No bias there.

    • V10_Rob

I don’t doubt there’s many wannabes in that pool, but broadly speaking those fantasies skew towards self-reliance. They might not be able to achieve that self-reliance and self-sufficiency, but they’ll at least make a decent effort at it, and chances are as a group they’ll be able to cover most of each others’ deficiencies. Or they could have a falling out over who is ideologically pure enough, as the right is often prone to.

Either way, I still give them better odds of taking care of themselves than the usual gimmedat crowd the left gathers up.

Sounds like persecution to me, much like the UK government against Tommy Robinson. The betrayal of the individual Freeborn citizen by their own government is the biggest betrayal of all.

The US government persecuting political enemies?
