Jihad: “All the Fault of the West!”

It was not supposed to have happened this way. In 1995 a number of EU member states signed the Schengen Agreement, integrated into European Union law in 1999. The signatory powers promised to abandon their internal border protection in exchange for a promise by the EU authorities that they would police Europe’s external borders. Then the EU authorities, while demanding that the Schengen states keep their borders open, spectacularly failed to honor their part of the agreement. There can be little doubt that the EU packed up, walked out and left its populations to their own devices.

Sadly, their policies have achieved the exact opposite of what they claimed to strive for. Instead of tolerance, we have witnessed division and irreconcilable enmity between cultures and ethnicities that often have nothing in common except a desire to squeeze as much out of the public coffers as they can. Instead of “inclusion,” Europeans have seen exclusion, low-intensity warfare, terror, no-go zones, rape epidemics, murder and mayhem.

Depressing but that is where the facts are pointing.

The Europeans brought this on themselves. The question is whether Canada will be dumb enough to do the same thing. After a Christmas with my university going son – arts – I am struck at how weak his understanding of Islam is and how ready he seems to be to view the Syrian refugees with minimal concern. (I suspect living in Vancouver with it relatively small Muslin population insulates him to a degree.)

I think the run of the mill Canadians are not going to understand the full gravity of what is happening with our “refugee” intake and the historical facts surrounding Islamic immigration until it is far too late.
This issue divides our country more than when we were battling openly with Quebec.
The MSM will never tell us this, and people are continuing to look only to the image built of us being the most tolerant nation on earth.
Peace Keepers. That one was exploited by the Toronto Star and others prior to the last election, painting Harper as a warmonger.
In fact it just occurred to me, Cyprus, our peace keeping vacation home since 1964, is keeping Greek Christians and Sunni Turks apart. Take away the troops and the battle will resume. Now that’s history.

    Europe has embraced “multikulturalism”
Canada was ahead of them when Pierre was PM, and is actually playing catch up with the present family Oligarch.

They got just exactly what most of us knew they would get by signing onto the Eurozone.

‘in exchange for a promise by the EU authorities’

  • Norman_In_New_York

Since there are no checks and balances, the EU authorities can get away with any malfeasance that turns them on.

Nor are they even elected as in a real democracy.

Yes, it’s never the mooslims fault!!
