    Look at that place.
In all the pictures that I have seen of the middle east there is scrub vegetation, nothing for trees and just sand.
What are they fighting over and why should we care?

2000 years ago, some guy threw a shoe at some other guy and they’ve been fighting ever since.

We care because Damascus is a city of ~ 2 million people, a functional and strangely beautiful (in its own way) oasis.

Now, as we can see, it has been laid to waste by sectarian infighting by Mohammedans, and if we could select and save the non-Islamic refugees and victims, we certainly would do so with open hearts. However, this is not PC.

Islam is a cancer on all of society.

Damascus is one of the longest continually settled places on earth. Evidence goes back nearly 10,000 years. I’m sure it will be fine.

Good of the arabs to remove most of the islamic superimposition on ancient damascus ,it makes it easy for archaeologists to excavate and learn about damascene culture before the islamic invasion and submission. it will definitely be a contrast to islamic ignorance and fatalism that has held sway for so many years
