China accuses US of B-52 ‘provocation’ over Spratly Islands

China has accused the US of “serious provocation” after it flew B-52 bombers near one of the disputed Spratly Islands in the South China Sea.

Chinese military personnel were put on “high alert” during the incident on 10 December, and issued warnings to leave.
The Pentagon said it was looking into the complaint.

China claims large swathes of the South China Sea but is in territorial dispute with a host of regional neighbours.

Just announce that it was a fly-past for the enjoyment of those forced to work on the islands.

B-52’s? Are they even still flying?

At least they will be cheap if they are shot down, I guess.

Does anybody have that original Monty Python video that the above image was taken from?

Monty Python appears to have had the original video that went with their song, I Like Chinese, removed everywhere from the net to be replaced by a much more modern politically correct version.

  • It’s time for a new pan-Asian alliance.

When I scroll down to read the comments there is a picture in the RHS “You May Like” column showing a great hairy spider with the heading: “10 Insects U.N. Urges You to Eat”…
I wasn’t aware spiders could get broadband.
