Why would she want to sit up front?

    • Beats me!

      Her husband forced her to?

At least she wasn’t alone, otherwise the friendly diverse cabby would not have driven her anywhere, unchaperoned.

Perhaps the children listen/respond better to Dad when they are traveling. I know my kids did, and we traveled a LOT!

    Those restaurants serve horrible food.

Egyptian cuisine feature items which have been buried in sand for up to a year prior to consumption. Even Saudis think Egyptian food is disgusting.

Syrian cuisine, on the other hand, is quite delicious.

Iraqi food tastes like shit and sand mixed together.

I have to eat when I travel. This has not always been a positive experience.

korean food. Yearscago i worked for a company that was getting work done in korea. Everytime we sent someone over to check on the work they ended up getting food poisoning eating in the local places.

I came away from Seoul with a serious Kimchee monkey. I HATED the stuff when I first tried it, but time changes everything.

Funny, but I am not at all interested in those swell restaurants.

    • Justin St.Denis

      Most aren’t.

      • Canadian

And I`m not interested in those that are either.

            Taxi drivers?

A couple of dear friends of ours had a strange cabride recently. They are an older couple and do not drive anymore. They were returning from a ” farm store” after purchasing a butchered/packaged up half of a pig. It was a 10 minute ride back to their home, so they called a cab. Hubby loads packaged meat into the trunk and also the front seat beside the driver. As they are chatting in the back seat, mention is made of what their cargo is. Upon hearing that he was sharing the front seat with pig meat, the driver virtually stopped the car and told them to get out. Coincidentally, their son is a senior Law Enforcement Officer with the local municipality. One cell call later and everything was “fixed”. The story never made the media – most of these don’t – but the cab driver no longer works as a cab driver. At least, not in the municipality where the incident occurred. 😉
