Physician-assisted dying should be publicly funded: Expert advisory group

TORONTO — The practice of physician-assisted dying should be publicly funded by Canadian provinces, available to adults of any age, and not put doctors at risk of criminal prosecution, an expert advisory panel said Monday.

The recommendations were among 43 in the final report from the Provincial-

Territorial Expert Advisory Group, which was formed with input from 10 of the country’s 13 provinces and territories.

Nah, the government should charge people for the privilege of dying. Heck, they charge for everything else. How about do-it-yourself suicide kits? In Ontario they could sell them at the LCBO’s.

    • Wynne will do it.

      • Alain

She should demonstrate herself how effective it is and how it works.

  • Liberal Progressive

This is absolutely essential to give those already terminal, unwanted or depressed a way out to make room for all the newcomers who will need housing.

The practice of physician-assisted dying should be considered serious ethical breach by the college of physicians and cause for revoking the licence to practice. It should also bring criminal charges for murder.

  • WalterBannon

The practice of voter-assisted dying should be legal recourse for recalling politicians.

  • Ed

If the majority of assisted dying is done by liberals… man this is hard…

  • Minicapt

Require that the names of the doctors conducting assisted suicides be published by the media, and available on the Net.

Can we recommend people for this procedure? because I have a list of a few names…

  • Alain

“Expert”? No, agenda-driven activists. Mind you we already have tax payer funded selective surgery on demand – abortion. Never mind that people actually needing life saving surgery die on a waiting list.

And how long will it be before the “right to die” becomes the requirement to die?

      I don’t know.
