Islam: Not Just a Religion

Americans are having a hard time discussing the problem of Muslim immigration and assimilation because Islam is not just a religion; it’s a whole way of life, civil and spiritual.

The First Amendment was written because Christians of all denominations believed that while people’s religious beliefs are the basis for the law, no one Christian group should be supported by the power of the federal government. After all, that’s why many Americans had fled England.

Islam, according to many Muslims, rejects that principle and declares that all authority belongs to Islam. It’s as though Catholics believed that the pope should be the ultimate authority for setting the fine you have to pay if you get a speeding ticket.

If you take the predominant middle east/north Africa concept that an army is a mob with rifles and extend it to all facets of society, you will gain much insight.

The single core doctrine of Christianity, that distinguishes it from every other religion, is the belief that our salvation does not lie in the Law. Christ taught that the Law only has the power to condemn us in our sin, and that only God’s grace, through faith in the death and resurrection of His Son, has the power to save.

The book of Galatians, as well as passages such as Romans chapter 14 explore this idea in great depth. So those who quote from the harsher regulations of Old Testament Law are completely missing the point that they are what Christ set us free from.

There is no Christian equivalent of Sharia law, no matter how much secular leftists wish there were one. In fact, they seem to think that THEY are the ones who can craft a legal system that will save us.

Islam is a supremist ideology cloaked as a religion.

As Winston Churchill said, “No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.
