Trump: My Deportation Plan Is Not ‘Mean-Spirited’

Baier pointed out that deporting millions of people, as Trump has promised, would be logistically very difficult and extremely expensive.

“They’re here illegally. They have to go back,” Trump stated.

Deporting millions may indeed be logistically difficult and extremely expensive, but not compared to the future difficulties and expense of allowing the status quo, not to mention the compounding of the problem with continuing illegal immigration. The costs of deportation are “one time” costs. The benefits go on forever.

25,000 in one go.. how many later?

    • Canadian Born

Because deporting them would cost votes in the next election and Junior won’t let that happen so there goes Canada and no one is doing a damn thing about it.

  • Why do liberals continue to write new laws when they won’t enforce the laws on the books?

    • FactsWillOut

So they can arrest anyone they like, anytime.

      • canminuteman

And it makes them feel like they are doing something.

  • BillyHW

They brought it upon themselves. They have to go back.

“Trump: My Deportation Plan Is Not ‘Mean-Spirited’”

Why should it be considered mean spirited? What’s mean about giving mexicans a free ride to mexico?

    • AmicusC

its not a free ride you should be billing mexico

    • ntt1

I agree with the caution that it is not just Mexicans , there are huge numbers of Guatemalans and other latin americans other than Mexicans look for a spike in venezuelans as their socialist utopia collapses

    • G

Who cares if it is “mean spirited”.
That description is just someone’s opinion.
Let those who call it “mean” bitch all they want. They’re going to anyway. So why waste time paying attention to them? Move ahead on it.

  • Dana Garcia

Mexes are always demanding Spanish language and culturally appropriate services. There’s that and more at home in dear Meeheco — all Raza all the time!

It’s a kindness to ship them home. Win, win.

  • Clink9

Being a conservative means saying no to people. Someone has to be the grown up.

    • AmicusC

its amazing how bad at being adults leftists are.

  • Exile1981

I always figured the easiest way to get rid of the illegals was to declare them irregular enemy combatants (ie terrorists). Call out the militia and the guard to fight them and give all the illegals a 4 day notice of combat. That gives them 4 days to self deport or face the consequences.

  • Xavier

Self deport and you can retain up to $10,000 in funds and possessions. If we have to come and get you, Uncle Sam keeps everything.

    • Exile1981

I love that idea. Though a better idea is to give all illegals a 48 hour notice o leave, anything they can take with them as far as property goes they keep, anything they leave behind is uncle sam’s. Any cash over 10k they loose and if we have to toss them out they loose everything.

      • Xavier

Mexico confiscates everything over $10,000 anyway so that’s as good as it can get.

  • ntt1

Trumps plan is to enforce strict punishment against businesses using illegal workers, making registration for schools, leases and drivers licences impossible and immediate deportation of any criminal upon conviction .Sanctuary cities would have their federal monies cut off until they comply with existing federal statutes .Trump thinks this will slow the immigration and over time encourage self repatriation. He could well be right and without another expensive stupid bureaucracy like home land security.

    • John

What I can’t understand about the Sanctuary Cities theme is this: How can a mere municipality and that’s all San Francisco, for example, is, trump federal law? Federal laws trump both municipal AND state laws. An American state declaring itself a ‘Sanctuary State’ would never stand because doing so would be tantamount to secession. So why are cities allowed to do this?

      • Alain

It isn’t that they trump federal and even state law in some cases; it is the refusal to apply federal and state law that allows it.

    • Alain

Yes, dry up through whatever means illegal employment along with all social benefits, including free schools, and they will self-deport. That would be effective and totally cost effective.

  • Gary

What would Obama do if 1 million tourists chose to stay in America and wanted the right to vote for a party that will give them Free Health care and welfare.

  • No, it’s not! Right on, Trump!
