Police officers are supremely confident that the stabbing attack at a California college Wednesday was not related to terrorism, despite the fact that 18-year-old Faisal Mohammed praised Allah in his manifesto that detailed how he would carry out murdering lots of people.
Thursday, Sheriff Warnke told reporters, “[T]here is nothing to indicate this was anything other than a teenage boy who got upset with fellow classmates,” according to the Merced Sun-Star. When reporters asked if the attacker’s Muslim faith was a motivating factor, the sheriff dismissed the notion:
“You’ve got to remember there are a lot of Muslim-faith (people) that are very kind, gentle, loving people and to have one person do this, you can’t group that whole section of folks into that. It’s just not right.“
