Ignoring the Obvious – Do unruly students have a right to stay in their schools?

A recent, widely publicized incident in which a policeman was called to a school classroom to deal with a disruptive student has provoked all sorts of comments on whether the policeman used “excessive force.”

What has received far less attention, though it is a far larger question, with more sweeping implications, is the role of disruptive students in schools.

  • Hard Little Machine

My question is there even still a point to having schools at all?

    • Liberal Progressive

Schools are essential to instill progressive values in all children.

      • Mal

        These days, certainly.

      • Hard Little Machine

would that they still maintained the facade of being able to do that.

      • BitterClinger

Commie/sexual perversion indoctrination centers is all they are. Oh, and the pipeline for white genocide.

  • Every member of my family is a teacher. What a cesspool of liberal whining.

They all bitch about disruptive students. But they all have a reason why the disruptive students need to be mainstreamed.

One bad apple spoils the entire box.

One disruptive student, keeps the entire class uneducated.

  • Sean

How many of those teachers are women whining about male children?

  • john s

As a father of 7 kids, with 3 boys, I am more than a little concerned about letting teachers define ‘unruly’. Having dealt with principals and teachers who considered the very act of asking them a tough question to be ‘disrespectful’ I suspect that there would be a lot of home schooling of boys coming down the pipe.

    • Sean

Unruly = having the energy of a 7 year old boy while the 25 year old teacher who has been coddled her whole life has no idea how to deal.

Schools should be equipped with cells for unruly kids to give them an idea of their future track. Also, you don’t want the little criminals running loose on the streets.

    • dukestreet

Since “Scared Straight” only worked on a portion of the kids in that program, a cell wouldn’t work for some kids. Even spending a day in a real jail doesn’t work sometimes. Maybe those should just skip the school and go directly to jail without passing school. maybe if they got more than 8 hours in a jail, they’d decide school wasn’t so bad after all.

Unfortunately, with the lefties in control of the system, the majority of the students don’t matter. Now that the power of the teacher has been diminished( by the teachers themselves), there’s little hope that the majority of students will became important again.

    General KS Thimayya, DSO

Disruptive students, leaving aside those with mental health issues or inbred genetic issues, are often young males who are huskies in a world structured for sloths. They need plenty of exercise and a structured environment free of claustrophobic infantile bullshit.
