Could the US Republicans be starting to get the legacy MSM media right?

Realizing at last that in the age of the Internet, legacy MSM are simply the PR machine for progressive governments, and deal mainly in manufactured news?

The GOP can’t get the votes of the looming majority of people who willingly depend on government to feed, clothe, and house them because those people will never vote for a traditional values party once they understand that they are then expected to work, contribute, and accept responsibility.

Anyway, as many know, the “Canadian” candidate for US prez, Ted Cruz, disrupted the recent Republican “debate” (= MSM parades the evil freaks) by  telling the MSM celebs off, for sabotaging serious discussion:

In one moment, Senator Ted Cruz managed to do what no other candidate for the Republican nomination for president has done to this point: unite Republicans. He did so by pushing back against the ridiculously biased questions presented by CNBC moderators. The Hollywood Reporter transcribes:

“The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don’t trust the media,” said the U.S. senator from Texas, instantly earning applause.

“This is not a cage match,” he continued. “Look at the questions. ‘Donald Trump, are you a comic book villain;’ ‘Ben Carson, can you do math;’ ‘John Kasich, will you insult two people over here;’ ‘Marco Rubio, why don’t you resign?;’ ‘Jeb Bush, why have your numbers fallen?’ How about talking about the substantive issues people care about?”

Cruz contrasted moderators’ treatment of Republicans with their treatment of Democrats:

…every fawning question from the media was, “Which of you is more handsome and wise? …”

The audience loved it, erupting in raucous applause. Social media lit up as well, with Republicans of every stripe expressing gratitude that someone had finally pushed back.

The fundamental question most Americans who care don’t dare ask is, why did it take so long?

Is it because Republicans, after taking their working supporters’/taxpayers’ money, can just waltz off to lucrative consultancies, sneering at those voters who had no real choice anyway?

Surprise us, guys; just for once, after all this time, prove us wrong by keeping up the pressure.

Or will you wait till the legacy MSM goes after the right of independent media to even exist, except as “offshore” pirates? You can sneer even harder then. Or else you could grow UP now.

  • Ron MacDonald

Ted Cruz will be president one day.

    • Maggat

Here’s hoping. Either him or Trump, and I’d pick Cruz.

  • Norman_In_New_York

Marco Rubio picked up on this by calling the MSM the superpac of the Democrats.

  • Leftists love a good roll in fantasy. They have done it so much, they believe it.

  • moraywatson

We get the government we deserve.

  • Because so many of the GOP are RINOs, they know what is going on when the MSM ridicules conservative ideas. RINOs only care about the money in their own pocket, that’s where their concern ends.
