Stephen-Harper PM

Lawrence Solomon: On Harper, you be the judge #elxn42

Stephen Harper may be the worst prime minister in memory, as many claim. Or the best.

You be the judge.

  • DMB

If Stephen Harper didn’t allow up 250,000 immigrants/refugees into Canada many from 3rd world Muslim countries that will not assimilate into this country or even go on social assistance then I would say he would have been the best prime minister in memory. Also he should have stop funding the CBC.

    • pike bishop

Good points. Mr. Kenney was the immigration minister and IMO is a failure.
If he becomes the leader of the CPC I will not vote CPC.

      • Alain

Knowing how government works I know that for that to happen it had to be agreed to by the PM and party, so blaming Mr. Kenney is a mistake.

        • pike bishop

Your point is well taken. I still don’t like Mr. Kenney.

          • Clausewitz

He seems to be ambivalent about you.

          • pike bishop

His ambivalence is part of the issue. He could move to the Liberal Party without much trouble.

  • BillyHW

Women vote for the one they want to have sex with.

    • Ron MacDonald

Then who voted for Kathleen Wynne?

      • BillyHW

Did you check out the competition?

        • dance…dancetotheradio

Can you imagine the grooves Elizabeth May would leave on your dick?

          • BillyHW

Thanks but I’m not into marine mammals.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Oh, but they’re into you Billy, so beware.

          • Clausewitz

That first date with Lizzy Mae.

      • Clausewitz

Dykes on Bikes. All of them.

    • It’s why politicians are all so gorgeous.

      • BillyHW

Did you see what Sandra Bullock married?

  • Ron MacDonald

Kim Campbell was probably the worst followed by John Turner.

    • Waffle

Nah — Pierre has them all beat, hands down. The only reason some people today still think he walked on water is that he had an awesome p.r. machine — sort of like the myth-making apparatchiks of Hollywood that have the ability to rewrite history.

Too bad the true story of what he did to this country is only just coming out , but then again, timing is everything, isn’t it?

Campbell and Turner were side-shows — Turner, who had very nice hair, will forever be remembered for pinching Iona Campagnolo’s bum and Campbell will go down in history for her fake PB centerfold shot in judicial robes. Other than those unforgettable images, they were nonentities.

If only poor old Bob Stanfield hadn’t fumbled the ball (sigh). . .

    • dance…dancetotheradio

I recently rewatched the two debates between Brian Mulroney and John Turner.
Frankly, if John Turner was running today, I would not necessarily vote for him, because he’s a Liberal.
I would not be too unhappy if he became Prime Minister.

  • chuck_2012

I think Harper has done a good job so far. Better the devil we know that the one we do not know. I cannot imagine JT or TM as prime minister.

  • Maurixio Garciasanchez

    Harper _ 8 points Paul Martin + 8 Mulruney _10 Chretien 7 etc

    • David

Coming to a city near you if not so super mario and his ilk get their way.

      • Clink9

That looks like something out of National Lampoon in the seventies.
        The end of our civilization.

    • Clink9

So Big Mo. Maybe on the eve of this election, you could articulate your expectations of a Turdo majority government. Please enlighten the good folks of Blazing Cat Fur and it’s readers what the Liberals have in store for the next four years.

It would be very entertaining to hear you spell out the goals and policies now and then come back in four years to compare the difference.

Or are you just some wanker fanboy of the father Trudeau’s spawn for reasons other than government issues.

Oh, and speaking of the old draft dodger, happy birthday PET. Hope you’re having a nice dirtnap.

      • andycanuck

At least PET can’t complain about the cold where he is now.

  • ontario john

Its amazing that no uproar occurs when a major media outlet like the Star can call the Prime Minister a racist this weekend.

    • G

Sorry bud. I don’t consider it amazing.

When was the last time you heard one MSM member criticize another?
The National Post USED TO criticize the CBC but even that petered out. They are all in the same clique together.

    • Clausewitz

It’s just the same old, same old. Always consider the source.
