Man in UK arrested after Laurier University lockdown due to online threat

WATERLOO, Ont. — A spokesperson from Wilfrid Laurier University says the arrest of a man who allegedly posted an online threat against the school will be “a comfort” to students and staff.

London police say the man was arrested on suspicion of “malicious communications.” He remains in police custody.

The man’s connection to the school, if one exists, is unknown.
