Russia and Iran Moving to Corner the Mideast Oil Supply

It looks like Vladimir Putin and the ayatollahs are preparing to corner the world’s oil supply – literally.

Last May I wrote on this site that Iran was in the process of surrounding the Saudi/Wahhabi oil reserves, along with those of the other Sunni Gulf petro-states.  I added that, “Iran’s strategy to strangle Saudi/Wahhabi oil production also dovetails with Putin’s interests.  As the ruler of the second largest exporter of oil, he would be delighted to see the Kingdom’s production eliminated or severely curtailed and global prices soar to unseen levels.  No wonder he is so overtly supporting Iran.”

  • All it would take to disrupt the Middle East oil supply is a few well placed hits on the Saudi shipping facilities.

    Expect one.

All the more reason for America to accept Keystone. It should also be abundantly clear by now that we need to develop our own energy resources here in Canada.

More exploration, more extraction, more refinement, more exports to key allies.

Should let all global warmers freeze to death before one drill bit or length of pipe is put into the ground.

API is saying they don’t see oil prices going much about 50/barrel until 2025-2030 when some of the new shale production will tapper off.

Nobody has clean hands in this area http://oil-price.net/en/articles/oil-prices-and-syrian-civil-war.php Read the section proxy war in Syria, looks to me like the west by supporting The Kingdom is indirectly supporting our supposed enemy ISIS.

Putin is biting off more than he can chew. Iran’s military has lately been underperforming. Sunni hatred of the Shiites is long and entrenched. And any price rises will be checked by fracking operations in North America, whose technology keeps improving and which we will export to other countries with shale deposits. $100 a barrel oil is unlikely for many years.
