Egyptian Blogger Praises Israel from Hiding

Sherif Gaber, a blogger in hiding from Egyptian police, has created a paean to Israel that is so good, it puts most of Israeli hasbarah (public relations) to shame.

The video, embedded above, makes a mockery of Arab states that seek to destroy Israel, compares the Jewish state’s achievements with those of its Muslim neighbors and advocates for the Jews’ right to the land of Israel, even if not through Biblical reasoning.

  • In my opinion, Israel should grant him asylum before the muzzies get him.

He sure makes a good case for Israel being a truly remarkable and successful nation. There are probably a number of reasons why this is the case, but I wonder if the enmity, hostility and threat of the muslim nations around them, as well as the bigotry and hatred of many in the west toward them, is part of the answer.

They are compelled to excel, work hard and innovate – or they would be destroyed. And, of course, there is the memory of the Holocaust, always present as a grim warning of what could happen, if they relax their guard. Israel is truly a light in the darkness of a brutal region, and darkening world.

What you describe are coping mechanisms developed by Jews over the course of 2,000 years of exile and persecution. If these tribulations were accurately and graphically predicted in the Bible, notably in Deuteronomy, then Israelis have every reason to be optimistic about their restoration as also predicted in the Bible.

If only the Arabs were able to establish peaceful relations and cooperation with Israel, Israel could bring them into the 21st century, but no they prefer to remain in the 7th century with whatever bit of Western technology they managed to get their hands on.

They are stuck there due to the ‘perfect and unchangeable’
      koran mohammad cooked up.
It is based on Hate: of Christians, Jews, and the wrong kind of muzlims and
      all other non of those.
      OK, 4 Hates…..

It was interesting to watch, but torture on the ears.

And they say Japanese is guttural – it’s got nothing on Arabic for being an ugly-sounding language.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

        Acken de hacken hack,
        Kak hacken kak hack.

      • What?!

        • Alex

          No offense intended, Osumashi 😉

      • Alain

I have no idea who told you that, because Japanese is not in any way a guttural language.

    • Zaba

I like the sound, very close to Hebrew.
From the little Arabic I know, I try to pick out the words the same or similar
      in Hebrew.
He did go too fast, plus the editing.

Since he’s already in hiding it might be difficult for him to get out of Egypt. On the other hand,I’m sure the Mossad has agents working there. The Arabs will never establish peace with Israel. The other Arab nations like to use the Palestinians as a distraction. Had it not been for Arafat, there might be no Palestinian problem at all.

I do agree that it is all about envy. If the Arabs got out of the 7th century and joined the civilized world, they would have very little to envy, but they can’t help thinking like Arabs and living like them as well.

    • Zaba

Had it not been for Arafat,

He knew how to use the mic……

Israel continues to rise while Europe, which persecuted its Jews for 2,000 years, is falling fast. Israel’s Jewish population continues to grow, with even the nonreligious siring children above replacement, and this is augmented by immigration. While French politicians publicly bemoan the outflow of their Jews, in parts of Israel, you can hear French spoken frequently, all effusively welcomed by Israelis from VIPs to ordinary people. In a corner of northeast India, Israelis even discovered one of the Biblical lost tribes and are now bringing the Tribe of Manasseh back to their homeland.

  • Gettingby

Video appears to have been pulled. Upset somebody…I actually liked it.

  • Right now, Saudi Arabia et al have more pressing things to worry about than Israel.

One would think they could focus.

    • Minicapt

They’re Arabs, such is not possible.

    One correction.

The slave trade in KSA is alive and well, as throughout the Arab/muzlim world.
    It’s in the koran.
KSA is the largest slave holding nation.

This map shows where the world’s 30 million slaves live. There are 60,000 in the U.S.

This is not some softened, by-modern-standards definition of slavery. These 30 million people are living as forced laborers, forced prostitutes, child soldiers, child brides in forced marriages and, in all ways that matter, as pieces of property, chattel in the servitude of absolute ownership. Walk Free investigated 162 countries and found slaves in every single one. But the practice is far worse in some countries than others.
