The only people who are offended by the term “old stock Canadians” are from the “old stock main stream media”.

    • And the Old New Stock Racist Cadre

    • Shebel

Are those the ones that survive of taxpayer largess via forced gov’t contributions and could care less about honest Journalism?

    • Clausewitz

Never hear any complaints about Pur Laine though. Funny that.

  • Ron MacDonald

I’m “old stock” both side of my family are descended from United Empire Loyalists.

  • Yusuf_Al_Kafir

    ‘blackballing’ sounds racist too.
    It should be blacklisted.

Dammit if ‘blacklisted’ doesn’t seem racist as well. haha

    • Clausewitz

Everything is racist unless it comes from a lefty.

    • ntt1

blackballing refers to union elections where the vote is white ball for, black ball ,against. To be blackballed just meant voting down it was a system for illiterates to cast votes without the stress of spelling out the candidates name.

It is thanks to the Old Stock that we live in such a great country. They were the ones who developed it, and gave their blood and even life, so that we have the freedom which these bigoted idiots use to spew their crap.

    • Cheryl

Boy have you got that right. If it wasn’t for our ancestors who gave their lives for this country where would Canada be? Old Stock created this beautiful country and now the New Stock seems to want to destroy it. Shame on them.

      • Shebel

That is why I want to hear all the beleaguered Bleating from the New stock.

  • Shebel

Maybe these media morons should be asking what a “new stock” Canadian encompasses.

  • Shebel

Please speak out–all you “new stock ” Canadians.
We really want to know how we offend you.

We ‘olde stock ‘Canadians . Are only here to please.

  • Shebel

Cheryl— did you notice that mentioning ‘olde stock’ has become the New Racism?

    • Clausewitz

Old Stock was one of my favorite beers many moons ago.

      • Shebel

That must have been before my time—

        • Clausewitz

Yeah goes back abut 40 years ago.

  • andycanuck

Dean Skoreyko’s twitter feed covered that Dion, Justin and a host of Red Star columnists have used the phrase “old stock Canadians” in the recent past before PM Harper used it at the debate.

    • Canadian

It was OK, before Harper used it.

  • Shebel

When people want to shoot down the ‘Olde Stock’ that worked and paid their way—
Why is it Racist –to not want the ‘new stock’ to come in and bleed us dry?
They want family reunification , the elderly ,the sick and the dying to have precedence over our own.
    Justin promises this to them.
He is nuts. We won’t vote for that BS.

  • ntt1

I discovered some old stock in the back of my fridge it had grown fur and was quite threatening.

  • Solo712

As a 1968 immigrant to Canada, I say, thank God for old-stock Canadians.
