Reddit Mod: How Do I Stop People Talking About Immigration?

A moderator of /r/Europe, Reddit’s largest forum for Europeans, is horrified that its users are discussing the issue of the moment — refugees and immigration.

I hope those people are making it impossible to be identified, for otherwise they will have the state police breaking down their doors in the middle of the night.

    • Soon.

Too many people are speaking out against this online for that to really happen.

Besides, Intelligence agencies are kinda busy dealing with bigger things
like keeping Merkel’s invited guests from going dirka dirka on their host countries.

The more people not afraid to speak out online protects us all, they simply cannot put enough resources into shutting it down.

Reddit is as good if not better then getting exposure on CNN
it’s the go to place for information for a lot of people these days
so smashing down the censorship wall that was on /r/europe is a huge win.

All the top level subreddits are being hammered now, the left has a hammerlock on a lot of them so people are going after them, the more
the mods censor and ban, the harder people push back.

LOL. Moderators on Reditt don’t understand. People are angry. Really angry at politicians and what they are doing. I mean in Poland majority of people supports Hungary. , The PO, the ruling party, went so far down in the polls that the opposition party will most probably rule alone, not in coalition. Many people think that Tusk (he is from Poland) is a traitor and should be in prison.
And in Germany Angela Merkel is getting less and less popular, even in the Western part of Germany. Because in Germany it seems there is still a difference between the Western and the Eastern part of Germany. The Western part is still for immigration, the Eastern part is against. And the immigrants are going mainly to the Western part of Germany because in the East there is a strong support for NPD which is very anti-immigration.

The mods understand, that’s why they try and silence it on Reddit
that’s typical leftist tactics, pretend their isn’t a problem and if someone
dares says there is they shout them down or start smashing things.

The people taking on the mods on /r/europe are using that behavior against them get them to pushing them to censor and lay the ban hammer down harder and harder until there’s a massive backlash and they get the boot.

A lot of the complaints against extreme censorship on Reddit is coming from liberals themselves, It’s so bad on top level Reddits that even left leaning people are getting caught in the crossfire.

So let’s see… the moderators don’t like it when people with a different view and political culture come on to their subreddits uninvited and express their opinions… then try to stop the flood… isn’t that just a microcosm of the bigger picture? Lefties are such blind , brain washed, hypocrites!

    • lolwut?

There was no flood until the mods started deleting anything mentioning the migrants and banning everyone who discussed it, one of the mods iis notorious for deleting
hundreds of threads and and redditors.

The flood of posts about migrants was a deliberate act to get the mods to freak out and go even more overboard on the bans and censorship., it worked and it blew up in their faces.

/r/Canada is just as bad, if not worse then /r/europe was.

They auto-ban and based on keywords and links….. Rebel media posts will
get deleted and your account shadowbanned for “Racist source”… or “Not a legitimate news source”……or variations on that theme.

For the question posed, it’s easy, become a censor happy Democrat.

  • I thought discussion was supposed to be welcomed.

    Oh, yeah. Leftists.

Easy: Become a totalitarian dictator. It’s the Left’s answer to everything.

People don’t like being invaded by extra-hostile foreigners with a big sense of entitlement. If social media had existed in the early 1940’s, Parisians would have been chatting up how much they hated the Nazi occupation.

  • Hard Little Machine

I never saw the appeal of reddit. It’s a heavily heavily moderated capricious place where the powers that be have limitless unaccountable power where they shout and scream about ‘free speech’ while they censor whoever they live for any reason and no explanation or appeal. It’s basically Salon magazine on a bigger scale.
